Anka and I talk about school and how Hinata has been doing, but then we hear a scream coming from the living room. I run to the living room, and I see Hinata screaming and crying on the floor.

I run to him, but Anka gets to him first. "Shōyō?! Honey, it's okay!" He isn't screaming, but he's pushing Anka away. She lets him, but he's still crying. I get on my knees, and I say, "It's okay, Hinata. You're awake. We're here. No one is going to hurt you, okay? We're here."
He looks up at me and he hugs me. "H-He t-trapped me and h-he-"
"Shhhh.. It's okay, you're awake now. He didn't get you. He's never gonna touch you again, okay? It was just a dream." I interrupt him. Anka hugs him, and she starts whispering to him, too.

A few hours later, Anka told us that I could stay after school, and that she called my mom. "But now I have to go pick up Natsu. I'll be right back, okay?" Hinata slowly nods. I tell her goodbye, and I walk to the kitchen, Hinata still hugging me, of course. Moving around with him hugging me is kind of awkward, though.

"Hinata? Can you let go of me? It's hard to walk like this." He shakes his head, and tightens his hold. I sigh, and crouch down. He cocks his head. "Hm?"
"Get on. I'm giving you a piggy back ride." His eyes light up, and he climbs on my back. He wraps his arms around my neck and his legs around my waist. I make sure he has a strong enough hold that he won't fall, and I go inside the kitchen.

"What do you want to eat?" I ask him. He thinks for a minute, then smiles. "Pancakes."
I blink.
...He should be eating dinner, but...
"Okay, I'll make pancakes. Do you have the mix?" He points to a cabinet, and I walk over to it and open it. I grab the mix, and get out everything else I'll need.
"Hey, Hinata, I have to put you down now." He whined and gripped my neck tighter. "Hinata, I have to cook these. I can't do that with you on my back. How about this: You can help me make them."

He smiles, and slides off my back. "What do I do?" That's the most he's said since he woke up.
"Do you have a measuring cup? We need one." He nods, and goes to get it. I start to look for a griddle, and when I find one I put it on the stove, but I don't turn it on yet. Hinata hands me the measuring cup, and I put all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. I hand Hinata a whisk that I found, and I ask him to stir.

"Okay!" He smiles his cutest smile yet. I feel my face heat up slightly, and I turn away.  He has no right to be that damn cute.

I turn the stove on, so it'll be ready when we put the batter on the griddle. I look back at Hinata, and he has it stirred pretty well. "I can get it from here." He turns around to face me, and turns back around and keeps stirring. "That works, too."

"I think I stirred it enough, but I'm not sure." He looks at me, and I do a quick stir in the batter. "Yep, you got it. Thanks." I smile at him. "So what do I do now?" He asks, hopping up and down. "You watch me."
"Whaaaaat? I wanna do something!"
"No, you'll burn yourself."
"No I won't!"
"You'll either burn yourself, the pancake, or you'll make a mess."
He says nothing.

I pour the batter into the griddle, and I wait for the bottom side to cook. When it's done, I take a spatula and I flip it. "What was that? You're supposed to flip it in the air, like, really high!" I sigh. I don't have that kind of skill. "I can't." He groans. "You're so boring!"

I'm fine with him calling me boring, I'm just glad that he's talking again. I like hearing his voice, even if he does get annoying sometimes.

I smile and roll my eyes.

I lift up the pancake, and check the bottom. Perfect. I put it on a plate, and ask Hinata how many more he wants. "Two more!" I laugh, and say, "Okay, then. Two more it is!"

~~~
As he eats, I put all the stuff we got out up. I put the whisk and measuring cup in the sink, but I leave the batter, spatula, and griddle out. He might want more, so I don't want to ruin the batter.
I hear the front door open, and Hinata stands up and runs towards it. I guess Anka and Natsu are home now. I follow Hinata, and I see a mini-Hinata, but a girl version. Damn, they really do look alike.
"Woah! Who's that! He's kinda scary!" Natsu yells, pointing at me. Hinata laughs, and says to her, "Natsu, that's my friend, Kageyama. Kageyama, this is my sister, Natsu." I wave at her, and she waves back.
Anka seems to smell something, so I explain it to her. "Hinata wanted pancakes, so I made him some. Sorry for using your kitchen." She laughs. "Don't worry about it, it's fine! Do you happen to have any batter left? I bet Natsu wants some pancakes, too." I smile. "Yep."
After I made Natsu some pancakes, I decided that it was time I go home. I've probably bothered them enough for now.
"Well, uh, I should probably go home now. It's getting kinda late." After I say that, Hinata looks up, startled. "W-Wait, you're leaving? Y-You can't leave!"
Oh no...
"Hinata, I don't have any clothes, and your clothes wouldn't fit me."
"I don't care! You-You can't leave! You can't! Wh-What if h-he comes to g-get me? Only you can stop him! I can't stop him myself! I-I- can't- You have to stay!" He's having another panic attack. This isn't good...
Anka points to her phone, and goes into the other room, assumingely to ask my mom what to do.
"K-Kageyama! You-You have to st-stay! I-I can't be alone right n-now! Wh-What if he finds me?! Wha-"
I hug him. "Shhh, shhhh... I'll try to stay, okay? And he won't get you. I'll make sure of it, okay? Your mom is asking my mom if I can stay, alright?"
"Wh-what if she s-says no?" His voice is shaky. "Then we'll work something out, okay? But don't worry.. You're safe. I'll protect you. I won't let him hurt you, okay Hinata?" He shoves his face into my chest, and I rub my hand through his hair. That always seems to help calm him down, and... His hair feels really nice.
Anka walks in, and blinks when she sees us hugging. Her trance doesn't last long, though. "Kageyama, your mom said she could bring you some pajamas and an extra set of school clothes." I smile. "See, Hinata? I'm staying." He looks up at me, not letting go of our hug, and smiles. He lays his head on my chest, and sighs.
Anka smiles, and says, "I should probably get Natsu to sleep now. Shōyō, you need to take a shower, okay?" He nods, and hugs me tighter. "Not yet..." He mumbles.
I laugh, and say, "You should take one before you get too tired, though."
"B-But what if you... Leave?..." I rub my hair through his hair. "I won't. I promise. I'll wait in your room, if that makes you feel better." He smiles at me. "..Yeah, that would."
He goes into the bathroom, and I sit in his bedroom. Last time I had been here, I didn't get to look at his room too much. I look around his room, when I suddenly remember that I never told Daichi that we wouldn't make it. I decide to text him.
K: Hey Captain, sorry I didn't warn you that we wouldn't make it
D: Oh, don't worry about it. Things happen sometimes. Just try to warn me next time, okay?
K: Okay, I will. I hope we don't have to miss any more, but you never know
D: Why did you two have to miss practice, anyway? You rarely miss practices.
K: I'll tell you and Sugawara tomorrow morning
D: Okay, well, I need to go to sleep now. You better go to sleep, too, Kageyama.
K: Yes, Captain
Hinata can't tell them, he'd break down. I'll tell them, they're the captains. No one else needs to know, though.
