  Simisola_

    Three months?

That woman is a witch oo. I knew the outcome of this visit would be crap. I might have considered and agreed if only she's not Dindu's mother. Like for real, Dindu's mother ?

I threw myself on my bed angrily. Whatever prank it is that they are pulling should come to an halt. For Christ sake!! Who does that? Exchange kids? That's crap!!

"Simisola Oluwatofunmi." My dad screamed as he stormed into my room.

  I turned my face away.

"Simisola?" He yelled.

"Yeah, that's my name." I raised an eyebrow at him as I shot off my bed.

   Dad was fuming with anger.

"What's the meaning of that stunt you pulled there?" He yelled.

"Did she bewitch you?" I yelled back. Do you know what happen next?

I held my face and tears was threatening to fall off my eyes.

  Dad slapped me!!

"Am doing all this for you Simi. Why are you ungrateful? Why did you have to disgrace me like that? I begged you to pretend for me, didn't I? I had to apologise to them on your behalf. You compared her son to a puppy, God Simi!! What the f-" He cut himself off.

How is he doing this for me? Isn't this selfishness.

"Dad, I know I'm a girl and you've always wanted a son. I'm not what you want but exchanging your kid with another for one month or three months or even one year doesn't make the other your kid. You know what, you are stalk with me, whether you like it or not unless you are going to have me transgender." I sighed as I wiped my tears.

"Christ!! Simi, who is talking about transgender here? I thought we have talked this out. You are as special as a boy child. You might not understand but I'm doing this for you." He said.

"Not for me, dad! You are just selfish! If you like her, propose to her, she will marry you. Don't hurt your kids for your personal reasons."

"Oh Lord." Dad sighed. "Simi, sit down now."

     I sat on my bed.

"Princess." He touched my cheek. "You are going to Ifeoma's house next week whether you frown or not. You should be happy. Ifeoma is a good woman. Despite the fact that you say you tell me everything, I know that there are somethings you girls only want to tell to a woman, there are somethings you just can't tell a male no matter how close you are to them, right?"

"Dad, you know when I have my period. You know when boys ask me out. You know my close friends. You know the kind of cloths I wear so what else?"

"Princess, are you comfortable going undies shopping alone?"

"Yes dad." I rolled my eyes.

"Simi, there are somethings you should know." My dad told me.

     I raised my eyes expectantly.

"I can't teach you every thing that a woman would teach you. Since you couldn't tolerate Rachelle, for Christ sake, accept ifeoma."

"If I tell you what Dindu has done to me, you would be against it. You would cancel this whole thing."

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.

   "Nope." I deadpanned.

"But you aren't staying with Dindu na. You're staying with ifeoma."
