Lithuania (Toris Laurinaitis) x Reader
People of all ages lined up eagerly as they waited for the amusement park to open up for the day. Toris fidgeted nervously from his spot under the tree as more time passed by. A tap on his shoulder alerted him to the presence behind him. He turned around and smiled at his girlfriend "You ready to go inside?" She nodded with slightly flushed cheeks "Yeah. Sorry about being late. The bus got delayed." He took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze "It's ok. Things happen." She squeezed his hand in return "Thanks." (Y/N) tugged on his hand "Let's go in now." Toris nodded with a small content smile "Alright." The two entered the amusement park with their hands intertwined. Toris looked over at her and smiled at the pure excitement present on her face "What would you like to do first?" (Y/N) looked around her at the countless options and mentally planned their day "Start with the rollercoasters and then get lunch at around 1pm? Then maybe the arcade after? Are you okay with that?" He smiled easily in reply and tugged her hand in the direction of a rollercoaster.
The two indulged in the thrill of rollercoasters and the other rides of the amusement park until they both heard the familiar rumbling of their stomachs. A pink blush decorated Toris' cheeks when his stomach grumbled in hunger once again. (Y/N) watched him momentarily before breaking out in a fit of laughter. His blush darkened in embarrassment as he watched her slowly compose herself. Despite his own embarrassment, he felt happy to have elicited such a positive response from her. "Would you like to get food now?" She asked, a hint of amusement hidden behind her usual joyful tone. He nodded silently and she grabbed his hand once again.
They found a table under the shade of the trees with little people around them. Toris watched her silently as she happily ate her food. He wasn't sure how he had managed to find someone like her, but he felt grateful for it. A simple smile from her would send his heart racing and turn his brain to mush. She paused in her actions and looked over at him in worry "Is everything okay?" He nodded and tried to ignore the heat rushing to his cheeks "I'm okay. I was just thinking." She placed her food onto its plate and watched him with curious eyes "Oh? About what?" (Y/N) observed him and noticed his nervous fidgeting "If it's something you aren't comfortable sharing, then it's okay." "It's not that. It's just embarrassing to tell you" he stated, watching her carefully for a change in expression "I was just thinking of how lucky I am to have you. I know that sounds cliche but..." He paused in his words to observe and appreciate the red decorating her cheeks.
His heart swelled up in happiness when she fidgeted with her plate in an attempt to avoid eye contact with him. (Y/N) cleared her throat and nervously looked back into his green eyes "Are you done? It just sounded like there was more to say." Toris shook his head with a small forlorn smile "If you think about life as a game of poker, I'm the one who has never had the winning hand." His expression changed when he looked over at her properly "But it seems like finally, I have the chance to win." (Y/N) smiled and reached over at the table to squeeze his hand in sympathy "Toris." "Hmm?" "I love you" she stated, her tone light and casual with a pinch of heaviness to assert her feelings. His ears glowed a shade of imperial red and he shyly mumbled back "I love you too." (Y/N) smiled at him and the two finished their meal with some small talk exchanged.
Toris found himself distracted momentarily by the loud sounds of the machines and the bright lights blaring in his face. (Y/N) tugged his hand "We have to get a card first before we can play." He obediently followed her and the two split the cost. (Y/N) looked at their options and smiled at the sight of the Dance Dance Revolution game "Let's play this!" He nodded and the two managed to settle on a song after a few minutes of debating. (Y/N) stared at the bright S on the side of Toris' screen the moment the song had ended "Have you played this before?" Toris looked at his score on the screen with a small feeling of pride "Mr. Jones may have dragged me to play this once or twice." (Y/N) shook her head and enveloped him in a tight supportive hug "That was awesome! C'mon, let's do the next round! You should teach me how to be as good as you next time." Toris nodded and happily continued the dancing competition with the most important person in his life.
Notes:
Prompt: "I've never had the winning hand" Gambling Man by The Overtones
He's the type of person who welcome's someone into his heart once he knows the person really well I'm pretty sure he's a very happy character as long as he isn't being terrorized
He's easily depressed, which is why his mood changed so quickly
I developed this headcanon that Toris is good at DDR because he's good at martial arts = flexible and has good reflexes
Mr. Jones = Alfred. I think he'll always be formal with him
I had to research shades of red for this and settled on imperial red (Which would really suit Arthur actually).
I hope you enjoyed this.
Next week is a character I've never done before, which makes it a surprise!
