Kageyama's POV:

Nothing really notable happened throughout the rest of the week, but Hinata seemed pretty excited about the whole poem thing. He constantly asked me about it, and how I felt about writing poems.

He wanted me to help him research the rules of the poems we have to write, so he asked if he could come over to my house.

"Dumbass, why does it need to be at my house?" I ask as I let him inside. "Your house has better internet than mine. Simple." I roll my eyes, and I walk to the living room.
"Wait here, I'll go get my laptop," I say, and I run upstairs to grab it. I unplug it, and I carefully carry it downstairs.

"Which one do you wanna search up first?" He thinks for a minute, and decides that we'll search them up in order.
"Wait- We should write down the rules. Do you have a notebook?" Hinata asks me. "Yeah, I think I have a spare one somewhere. I'll be back."

Goddamn it, I didn't think him coming over would hurt this much.

My chest hurts. But not the outside of my chest. The inside. And I know why. I know that I'm not helping myself. But he's happy. That's all that matters. And I'll do whatever it take to keep him happy. His happiness is more important than mine.

I find the spare notebook, and I go back to Hinata. I'm walking towards him, then I stop.

The light from the window is shingling down on him, and, combined with the brightness that already surrounds him, he's practically glowing. His bright orange hair was shining, his focused amber eyes were sparkling, his everything was perfect.

I quickly pull my phone out of my pocket, and take a picture.

I walk over to him, and he yells, "KAGEYAMA LOOK!"
"Holy hell, I'm right here, you don't have to yell." He pretends I didn't say that.
"LOOK AT ALL THE RULES FOR HAIKUS!"
I roll my eyes.

He writes down all the rules.
•3 lines
•first line has 5 syllables
•second line has 7
•3rd has 5
•no rhyme
•no rhythm
•usually about nature

"Take a pic of all of it and send it to me!" He shouts, even though I'm literally right next to him.
"I will if you stop SHOUTING!"
"I'M NOT SHOUTING, YOU ARE!"
"YOU WERE SHOUTING FIRST!"
"NO, YOU WERE!"
"NO, YOU WERE, GINGER!"
"AAAAAAAGHH! YOU FREAKING.... BLURBERRY!"
I stop. A.... Blueberry?
I start laughing.
He soon joins in.

Writing a limerick is a bit harder than writing a haiku. For writing a limerick, you have to have five lines with an AABBA rhyming scheme. Limericks are often used to make fun of something, though they don't have to. Limericks are pretty easy, but coming up with rhymes could be a problem.

Diamente poems are a bit more difficult. You start with two words, one on top, one on bottom. The words are usually opposites. The first line will be the first word, a noun. The second line will be two adjectives describing the first word. The third line will be three verbs ending in 'ing' and things that the first word does. The fourth line is four words that relate to the first and the last word. The fifth line is three 'ing' verbs for the last word, the sixth line is two adjectives for the last word, and the seventh and final line is the last word, a noun.

Acrostic poems are poems that spell out a word with different sentences or phrases. You start with picking out the word, then you write it down vertically. You then pick out related words or phrases and write them horizontally, making sure it has the letter from the vertical line. Here's an example:
Lust
Opening up
Valentine's
Every second together

There are three different types of sonnets, but the one that caught our eyes was the Shakespearean Sonnet. It has 14 lines, put into sections of four lines, following an ABAB CDCD EFEF GG rhyming scheme. That type of sonnet is usually about a strong emotion, most commonly love and hate. But it can be written about anything, just like every type of poem. It also seems like the easiest type of sonnet to write, though that's just speculation.

"Damn." I look over at Hinata, surprised.. Since when did he say things like damn? ...Did I do this to him?
"Hm?"
"Kageyama, which poem are you most excited for?" Where did that come from?
"I'm not sure. I guess diamente seems pretty cool."
He giggles, and says, "I thought you'd say that."
I huff. "Am I that easy to read?"
"Yep!" He smiles at me, and my chest tightens.
I let out a small laugh, and check the time.
"Holy hell, it's 8:30! What time do you have to be home?" His face pales.

"7:45."

"MOM! CAN WE DRIVE HINATA HOME?" I yell out to my mom.
"Yeah, give me a minute!" I hear her call back.
"Okay, dumbass, call your mom now."
"...My phone died."
I groan. "Of course it did. Call her on mine." I hand it to him, and he inserts the password.

I go outside, and... What are we going to do about the bike?... We might have to shove it in the trunk... Would it fit? Could we tie it to the top of the car?

I run back inside, trying to find my mom. I run past Hinata, and I hear him saying, "Y-Yeah, I know. I-I'm about to leave. Y-Yes." I hope he doesn't get into too much trouble. It's kinda my fault, so...

"Mom! What're we gonna do about Hinata's bike?" She walks out of her bedroom, and sighs. "We're probably going to have to put it in the backseat."

So I won't get to sit with him?

"One of you will have to sit up front. Go figure that out and I'll put the bike in." I nod, and run off to the living room, only to find a shaking Hinata.

"Hinata! Are you okay?" He looks up, still shaking, and he shakes his head. "N-not really..."
"...Is she mad?"
"No, she was super polite and nice and not yelling at all." He said, sarcastically. I sigh, and I open my arms, gesturing for a hug. He stands up, and walks into my arms. I hope he can't hear my heartbeat, because it still goes crazy when I hug him.

He mumbles something that I don't quite catch.
"What was that?" I ask. He shakes his head, and puts his face into my chest. I feel my face heat up, but I try to make it go away. Hinata's upset, and I should help him.

I put one hand on his head, and start rubbing his hair. It's... Soft. It feels really nice, I should try to pet his hair more often. He seems to like it, too.

I hear a sniffling, and I look down. He's shaking again. I hug him tighter, and keep rubbing his hair. I feel like I should say something, but I don't know what to say, so I just gently whisper, "It's okay, Hinata. You can cry, I'm here. It'll be okay. I'm not going to judge you for crying, so cry as much as you need to. Everything is okay."

He starts letting out small sobs, and, soon after, he's letting out full cries. It hurts me to see him like this. Whatever his mother said must have really hurt him...

3rd Person POV:

Little did Kageyama know, Hinata had a different reason for crying.

As Kageyama comforted Hinata, Hinata could only think one thing:

"Why are you being so nice to me, even after I turned you down?...."
