The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Mom looked so happy, walking down that aisle. Everyone was in a good mood, and the food was amazing, but I expected nothing less from Sookie.

Finally, it was time to dance. First, Mom and Luke had their dance to "Reflecting Light" By Sam Philips, the song they first danced to at Liz's wedding. After that, Mrs. Patty took care of the music selection. The dance was quickly over, and now it was time for everyone to join the happy couple on the dance floor.

Mom came over to me, looking a bit worried. She sat down next to me and put her arm around me.

"Are you okay? You look a little sad, is everything fine?"She asked

"Yeah, no, don't worry about me. It's your special day, go dance, have fun!" I replied, trying to fake enthusiasm.

Luckily for me, Mom was too distracted to notice that I was lying, so she grabbed my hand and pulled me off my seat.

"We're dancing tonight, mother-daughter style!" She said happily.

I loved seeing my mom this happy, so I just tried to forget about my problems and dance it out. We danced for about 20 minutes, until I was out of breath. Mrs. Patty had included all the great pop hits and I was impress at how Mom could bust a move in that puffy dress.

I decided that I needed a rest, and some food so I walked off the dance floor and went straight to the buffet. There, I bumped into Grandma, who was reserving herself from one of the platters.

"Hey, Grandma. Enjoying the party?" I asked.

"Why hello, Rory. I will admit, I'm impressed. The decorations are especially beautiful. You'll have to give the the number of this Kirk." She replied.

I laughed. "Grandma, you know Kirk. He attended a friday night dinner a few months ago."

"Oh, that Kirk. Funny man." Said Grandma with a shudder. It was obvious she wasn't a huge fan of him.

"So, how's Nantucket, and the whaling museum?" I asked, diverting the subject.

"Oh, you'll never belive what happened. One of my colleagues diverted me to a website called You Tube. It's genius! Every week, I upload new videos to my channel about Whaling. People seem to be pretty interested!"

I was in shock. Grandma was a Youtube star? This was almost unreal. The same Grandma who was scared of Grandpa Googling her many years ago. I was so proud of her, she had really grown as a person and dealt with everything so well.

We talked for a few more minutes about Nantucket, Jack, my book and whatever. Finally, she was called over by Miss Patty and Babette and I was once again left alone. I headed back to my seat and watched everyone laugh and dance.

Suddenly, Kirk took the microphone and made an announcement.

"Attention folks! Now is the young couples dance! All couples under 40 are invited to come bust a move on the dance floor, and make everyone else feel old!"

I felt so lonely. I would have given anything to have danced with Logan. But, he was probably dancing with Odette in a fancy ballroom somewhere. Not thinking of me.

I felt a hand tap my shoulder. I looked up, and Jess was standing in front of me, in all his grace and glory.

"Care to join me for a dance, fellow youngster?"

I laughed. Jess still had it, all these years later. He grew into an amazing, kind, accomplished young man. He deserved all his success, and I was so proud of him.
