She didn't expect it at all; the feeling of Byulyi's soft lips suddenly catching onto hers with her cold hand on Yongsun's warm cheek. It stiffened the girl immediately at that moment, and made her so confused and shocked and her stomach churn and flutter.

The feeling felt... different, unexplainable, and somewhat soothing for her. It was so calm at that moment, like suddenly the world faded around them, leaving them alone in a single grasp yet it confused a lot of things in Yongsun's mind.

After the moment, when Byulyi pulled back, Yongsun only stared at her because she didn't know what to say or how to even move. Byulyi had a brief smile before it faded as their eyes met. Then Yongsun saw the long tears run down her pale bare face and how scared the girl was, knowing that the older girl couldn't speak to her as if all the strength and body mechanics had turned off within her body, like all the systems chose not to start. Yongsun had all the urge to grab the arm of the younger girl to bring her back when she ran out and constantly apologised, but she couldn't bring herself to do it and she didn't know why she didn't do it, and her heart crushed even more from seeing Byulyi run away.

Even in the morning, the flutters and weird and confused feelings kept coming back to her.

"Yong," Eric calls out firmly, snapping the girl again out of the daze once again. "Did you hear what I asked you?"

Yongsun pulls back blonde hair behind her ears, watching as Eric put on a striped sweater with black pants, grabbing a black leather coat from his wardrobe.

"Yeah, um..." Her voice trails off, trying to recall anything in her head but her mind only remained almost entirely blank. "S-Sorry, what did you ask?"

Eric sighs, fluffing his dark hair and giving his girlfriend a deep, observant look. "You've been out of it ever since last night when I came home, are you feeling alright? Do you feel sick?"

"No, I-I..." Yongsun shakes her head violently, scratching the back of her neck in frustration while trying to come up with an excuse. "I'm just... anticipating the trip."

Eric grins widely to the girl, stepping closer and placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. He leans in close to her ears and whispers hoarsely, "Everything will be okay, alright? I know it's your first time in America, but I'll promise you'll love everything about it. I'll show you around, and we'll take lots of pictures together when we have free time. You'll be fine."

His final sentence send abnormal chills down the girl's spine, not sure if it was a good or bad thing.

"Now," Eric separates himself, grabbing his car keys. "I know a place where we can have breakfast."

He stretches a hand towards Yongsun, patiently waiting for her to grab it. She looks up to him, their eyes meeting as she gives him a small smile of hers, grabbing his hand as they both left the apartment together with Yongsun's mind still wandering along the tracks in her head.

The little cafe they had arrived to only took around 10 minutes to get to. Yongsun's eyes gaze upwards towards the soft and calming look of the cafe, momentarily glancing to the sign that hung above the door in white fancy letters: EVERGLOW.

"Where did you find this place, Eric?" she asks, admiring the inside view of the cafe through the window. Her hand was loosely in his as they approached the entrance. Eric let go of his grasp to hold the door open, a light chuckle coming out from Yongsun's. She was immediately met from the warmth and smell of the food and drinks that was served here𑁋the aromas filling the air and already making her stomach rumble.
