Aurelia's POV

I carefully opened the paper. It read-

'To Aurelia,
I'm sorry for doing that, but I had to. I was forced to. I'd never do that to you. If I wouldn't have agreed then that person would have killed the only people I love. Please forgive me if you can. I may not be seen after this because my family and I are shifting to another town. Also, I purposely called Ryder to the parking lot so he could save you. I was being watched. Please forgive me.

"Who's JP?" I asked.
"It's James Price. He did not attend the practice too," Andrew replied after a few seconds of deep thinking.
"So the matter is over now, okay! I want it to end here."
"No, it's not over. We've gotta find who that person is. I'm not letting that go so easily. Right now let's go home."
"Fine! Bye Syd!"
"Bye Aury!"
Andrew did not wish her anything but I did see him look towards her as we went towards the car.
"Whipped!" I whispered in his ear, making sure that Syd didn't hear.
"Oh! Shut up!" he replied, his cheeks becoming instantly a light shade of pink.
We quickly went into the car and drove off to our home. On the way, I just asked Andrew about his practice and he replied in short, straight-forward answers.
“You know I’m here for you, right?”
“Yes,” I replied, getting out of the car.
“No matter what.”
“No matter what.”
We went inside to find Mommy sleeping on the couch.
“I’m sure it’s a girl,” Andrew said.
“Say all you want but it surely is a boy,” I replied going upstairs.
“Will you sleep with me tonight?” I asked.
“Of course. I’ll be there in a few.”
I went upstairs and checked my phone. Where’s my phone? I went out and checked in the car.
“Not here!”
Then it hit me. Shit! I forgot that at Ryder’s.
“Hey, Andy!” I shouted.
“Yes.”
“I am going to Ryder’s. I forgot my phone there.”
“Wait, I’ll take you.”
“No! It’s fine. I’ll take my cycle.”
“Come on! I’ll take you.”
“No! Bye!” I quickly took off not wanting him to come with me.
I reached there in a few minutes.
I rang the bell. No answer. I ringed it again. No answer. I knocked loudly.
“Coming!” I heard a familiar voice shout from the other side of the door.
“Hey! I’m sorry! But I didn’t call anyone over. Please listen to me. I’d never do that to you. That slut called on her own. I don’t even know how she got my number and my address,” he said with despair in his eyes.
“It’s okay! Just give me my phone!” I replied.
“Come inside.”
“I want my phone,” I replied again.
“Wait a minute.” He quickly went inside and brought my phone and gave it to me.
“Thank you!”
“Wait, Ror...” his voice faded as I quickly took flight and left his home.
“You’re back! I told you I’d take you. What if that man would have found you?”
“Stop! He didn’t find me, right! So stop thinking about that.”
“You wanna sleep?”
“Yeah! Anyways it’s 10 already,” I replied going upstairs.
I unlocked my phone and was shocked to see a sorry wallpaper with a sad face of that of Ryder. And then the home wallpaper had the whole explanation written. The thing he told me when I went to take my phone and a few more details. I was really touched. And as if on cue, my phone started vibrating vigorously indicating a rain of messages. I opened to find different texts and emojis from Ryder.
Ryder: I’m sorry! Please believe me. I know you weren’t still convinced when you came over so I did this.
Me: Fine. It’s okay. I already forgot that.
Ryder: Thanks<3
Ryder: You fine?
Me: Yeah!
Me: Good night…
Ryder: Sweet dreams(Dream about me. I know you will;)
That boy has a gigantic ego. I fell asleep just like that with him on my mind. After some time, I felt the other side of the bed dip. His hands snaked around my waist and I hugged him back, feeling safe in his hands.
I open my eyes and see a dark room. I am tied in a chair.
Slowly a shadow appears in front of me.
"You are no match for me. Do you think I didn't call her? So stupid. I called her because I was tired of fighting that guy. And don't think I did that because I like you. I did that because he was the same guy connected with someone I really hate," the shadow speaks finally revealing Ryder.
"I can never like you. Being friends with you was just because of your brother. You thought I'd like you! Huh! You are ugly. Like the ugliest girl. No one could like you."
He slowly comes towards me and grabs my neck. I start choking. He opens his mouth.
"Because of y-"
I wake up sweating like hell. I take deep breaths and try to forget the nightmare I just had. My whole body was trembling.
"Hey! It's okay. Just a bad dream. Now go to sleep…" Andy said, pulling me towards the bed.
I slowly close my eyes waiting for sleep to take me with it but it seems that even sleep doesn't want me. Finally it accepts me and takes me into its own peaceful world without monsters.
