On Saturday the cafe was surprisingly empty. Normally the busiest days would be in the weekend, but so far only five people had come in the span of four hours. That meant that most of the time the workers were in the back room hanging out. And today, Jimin was venting a bit over his feelings.

"It kind of felt like destiny," Jimin continued. "Sure not all relationships have three people but still! Maybe we could just stick as friends if that's more normal."

"You need to remember that the rest of us are still single." Hoseok joked. Jimin blushed a little and apologized.

Jimin continued rambling on. Namjoon wasn't really paying much attention to him though. His mind kept on tracing back to yesterday. How vulnerable Yoongi was at the time and how distant Seokjin had suddenly become, who was currently working at the front desk. He had his suspicions about why the older suddenly disconnected from him, and part of him was sad about it.

It was no surprise that Namjoon was the closest to Seokjin in their friend and work group. He would always help him whenever he felt stressed and noticed when he was burned out. The older was kind of like how Namjoon treated Yoongi yesterday. A venting place. It was just so sudden to Namjoon how Seokjin had flipped the coin. He wanted to know how to flip it back to heads so they could talk again.

That's why his eyes were glued to the door that led to the front desk. The door was closed, but he could still feel Seokjin's presence out there.

Namjoon had been through some things in the past and Seokjin had felt like the only good luck he had. He was able to ignore the past for the most part, but whenever he would get nightmares or flashbacks he would always go to Seokjin for help.

Maybe that's why he had suddenly become more distant. Namjoon wasn't giving him the same amount as what the older was giving him.

Oh...

"Namjoon, you alright?" Hoseok asked.

The younger looked over to him and nodded. "Yeah. I'm going to talk to Seokjin hyung."

"Alright!" Taehyung said happily.

When Namjoon opened the door he saw Seokjin filling up a drink, meaning someone was here. Namjoon looked around and saw Yoongi sitting in the corner with earbuds in his ears as he typed away on his phone. Jin glanced at him but didn't say anything as he placed the drink down on the counter.

"Coffee with cream for Min Yoongi!" The older exclaimed while ringing the bell.

The customer didn't move from his seat, probably not hearing him. Namjoon decided then was a good time to talk to Seokjin.

"I can give him it hyung." Namjoon offered.

"No. It's alright." Seokjin said with a sigh. Namjoon tilted his head as the male put the drink on a tray and carried it over to the customer.

He waited a bit at the counter and watched Yoongi take the drink politely. Once Seokjin began to walk back, Namjoon noticed Yoongi glance at him, so he gave him a small smile. Maybe he could talk to Yoongi after his shift is over, if he'll even be there, which was a slim chance to none. For now he'd just try to get Seokjin to open up to him.

"Hey Jin hyung?" The older didn't even glance at him when he spoke.

"I'm sorry, for anything I did wrong." Namjoon bowed even if Seokjin didn't see. "I haven't been treating you well and I promise I will from now on."

Seokjin had given him a quick glance, which was good enough for Namjoon. He hoped that he would be able to get on good terms with the older again, and thought that he might be able to now.

"You're going to work at the front now, mk?"

For some reason that sentence, as harmless as it was, made Namjoon feel a small pang in his chest. Hearing Seokjin, a normally happy and goofy person, talk so coldly to him like he didn't care made Namjoon a bit sad and taken off guard.

As the older went into the back room, shutting the door behind him, Namjoon once again kept his eyes on the closed door. This might end up being regular, they might always be separated by a door. Namjoon really didn't want that to end up being where their friendship ends, especially since he still didn't know what he had done wrong.

And soon enough, he would end up feeling deserted. Even if he was surrounded by desserts.
