Charlie and Sam were walking down the street holding eachothers hands, both had frowns on their face as they had just heard from a passer by that the last golden ticket had been found.
Sam felt absolutely horrible, no one wanted this more than Charlie, this was his dream. She should have done something to help him found one as he could.
"You know what Charlie, how about I buy us both a chocolate bar and we can go and eat them at the park"
He just nodded and they walked into the corner shop together. Sam walked up to the counter while Charlie went over to look at a pile of news papers.
"Dispicable, a fake golden ticket"
"What's wrong with people these days"
That means that there is still one ticket out there. There still a chance for Charlie to find a ticket.
"Hello, could I have two Wonka fudge mellow delights please?" Sam asked the shop keeper.
"Of course" He said smiling.
She handed over the money and he gave her the two chocolate bars, she passed one to Charlie and he decided to open it now while Sam just put hers on her bag.
"You ready to go Charlie?"
No response.
"Charlie?"
Sam looked up to see Charlie holding a golden ticket, staring at it on disbelief. The other people in the shop began to notice and everything went silent.
"You've done it! You've found Wonka's last golden ticket, in my shop!"
"Hey kid I'll give you twenty five dollars for that ticket"
"Are you crazy I'd give him five hundred dollars for that ticket"
People began to surround Charlie and Sam pushed them away and grabbed Charlie's hand.
"Leave the boy alone" the shop keeper said "you take that ticket and run straight home don't let anyone else take it"
"Thank you"
A smile made its way onto Charlie's face and he sprinted out of the shop. Sam turned to the shop keeper.
"Thank you for giving us those bars, you have no idea how much this means to him"
"It's my pleasure little girl, and what might your name be?"
She leaned in and brought her voice down to a whisper.
"My name is Samantha Wonka"
"Really, your Willy Wonkas daughter?" He whispered back she nodded.
"Please don't tell anyone though"
"Your secrets safe with me"
"Thank you Sir"
She then also ran out of the shop and ran all the way back home. She got into the glass elevator and pressed the button for the nut room.
There was were she found her dad talking to the Oompa Loompas. She exited the elevator and ran over to him.
"Dad! Dad! The last golden ticket was a fake and the real one had just been found now!"
Wonka sound around and took his daughters hands in his own.
"That's wonderful news darling, who found it?"
"A boy named Charlie Bucket, he goes to my school"
"What is he like"
"He's brilliant" Sam said in a distant voice looking of into the distance with a dreamy look on her face.
Her dad clicked his fingers in front of her face a couple times bring her attention back to him. After seeing a reaction like that he thought that he should probably keep his daughter away from Charlie throughout the trip, she was way to young to be looking boys in his eyes.
"I think you'll like him dad, he's way better than all the other kids"
"I'm sure he is however I think we should get out of this room, I always get nervous when your in this room"
"Well you could just put up some barriers and then no one would fall in"
"Or you could listen to me when I tell you not to come down the stairs in this room and to stay up there"
He said pointing to the platform at the top of the stairs.
"Oh sorry dad, I was just really excited to tell you the news"
"I know sweetheart, come on why don't I tell you one of my stories"
"Yes please, tell me the one about the Indian prince it's my favourite"
"Good choice"
He held her hand and they got into the elevator and went to Sam's room. She got into bed and her dad pulled up a chair at the side and told her the story.
Once he had finished he gave her a kiss on the head and told her to get some sleep. By the time he had left she realised that she was to tired to get her razor out. She decided to just do it in the morning before all the guests arrive.
