Corinth's POV

"Corinth really?, are you really going to go to school?" Mom had flipped, her eyes were delirious and she was pacing back and forth aimlessly.

"Well it's not necessarily school, it's after school sessions." I placed a finger up." Let's put a pin in it, I Corinth Sealey promise to be safe and return home."

"Mom Corinth is already 18, have some faith in her." Joshua places a reassuring hand on her. " that's exactly why I'll go with her and make sure she does just that."

"Josh really?" I said sarcastically as I folded my arms against my chest.

"Well if I don't mom won't let you go so it's up to you." He winked while taking his hand and playfully slapping my leg, causing my body to shake a bit.

"Ok, ok." I pulled up my favorite pair of jeans and my purple sweater that mom packed. She really out did herself this time. Every necessity and unnecessary things, I had to my finger tips.

"Ok can we go now?" I looked at Joshua who was neatening his bun.

"Aren't you a bit too caught up with your looks?" I made my way off the bed and slid on my favorite pair of shoes.

"Always got to look good." He bites his lips.

"Ewww don't ever do that again." Kimmy, Derrick and I chorused.

"You know I look good."

"If by good you mean like trash, who are we to judge." Kimmy winked. It briefly reminded me of the crush she had on him when we were younger.

"Joshua just keep her safe." Mom snarled while fixing the bed.

"Mom sometimes I think you love her more."

"I do." Mom smiled.

"That hurts mom." He held his heart as we strolled out the door.

All of us followed in suit as we loaded up the van.

"Joshua maybe driving a little slower could be beneficial to all of us." I gripped my seatbelt and began saying the our father prayer only seconds after he pulled off.

"I thought you had gotten all tough, letting people touch you and stuff." He paused to think as he took a sharp bend. " who is the boy you almost killed your self for?" He asked his tone a bit too serious.

"Caleb." I smiled as I thought back to him, I was heart broken to the thought that I almost lost him, but his life was spared.

"Cadel." Joshua mocked. As though the foreign word was unfathomable.

"Its Caleb Joshua."I slapped his shoulder.

"Why was he trying to commit suicide?" He asked as we took a right and the card swayed a bit.

"It goes further than that for him, his past is still eating at him." I said staring into the distance as I ignored the roughness of the ride and focused solely on the idea that Caleb was afraid of something, Afraid enough to place his petals on the floor and stump them hoping they would grow.

"What's up with you two back there?, Derrick hasn't said a work." Joshua peeped into the rear view mirror at the two of them, both separated by the middle seat.

"On a break." Derrick spoke up, as his eyes travel unto the length of Kimmy's body and met her eyes.

"We broke up." Kimmy said in a sharp tone as she never let her stare meet his and her eyes divert to the outside world.

"Wait did you guys really?,I kind of already planned on going to your wedding for food." He laughed.

"They are serious dim wit." I slapped him and he winced.
