Before
No. This can't be happening. He has to be okay right? He's usually very careful. He wouldn't be reckless and get kidnapped. Would he?
Dick got into his car and drove to the tower.
I hate him for breaking my heart. Why should I care if he gets kidnapped? He can take care of himself.
... flashback (old timeline)...
Dick stood in the corner of the room behind the shelf where he heard Jason talking to Bruce.
"You cannot be serious, Bruce!" Jason said angerily, "You know I can do this by myself! I don't need a babysitter!"
"Jason," Bruce said as he placed his hands on his shoulders. "It's not bad to have to have a partner. He's not there to babysit you, he's there to back you up."
"Fine," Jason said as he pulled away from Bruce.
Dick pretended he didn't hear anything and walked towards them, "Hey, you ready, Jay?"
"Yeah, whatever," Jason said as he picked up his mask and put it on. Jason walked towards the exit of the cave.
"Make sure he doesn't do anything reckless," Bruce told Dick.
"I need to ask," Dick said uncomfortably, "Why? Why replace me? I'm Robin and I always will be. You got someone to take away the best part of my life."
"No," Bruce replied, "You will not always be Robin. You can't stay my sidekick forever. I know that and you know that. Robin is not the best part of your life. It shouldn't be. You need to find yourself."
"But-" Before Dick could finish, Jason interrupted them.
"What's taking you so long??!"
Dick left Batman, thinking about what he said, you need to find yourself.
Dick and Jason arrived to the location that Bruce sent them. It was an abandoned house by a lake. Apparently there were some drug dealers hiding out there.
Jason kicked down the door and Dick yelled at him, "We're suppose to be discreet!!"
"Yeah, well that's no fun," Jason replied. There were two people on the ground floor who stared at them and fired their guns at them. They both evaded the attacks and came up behind them and knocked them out. A few more people flooded the room and Jason and Dick easily took them down. They canvased the rest of the place and didn't see anyone else.
Nightwing radioed Batman, "We're all clear. We'll head back now."
"Okay," Batman replied and hung up.
"Hey, Jas-" Dick turned around and noticed that Jason wasn't there.
"Robin!" He shouted again and left the house trying to look for Jason. He heard a big splash coming from behind the house and he ran over to take a look. "Robin!" He shouted. Then he realized that his suit was on the floor next to the lake. He saw something emerge from the lake and realized it was Jason.
"What are you doing?!!" Dick said angerily.
"What? We have some extra time," Jason defended, "Jump in."
"What? No. We have to get back to the Batcave and-" before he could finish, Jason splashed water all over Dick and he laughed. "Okay, that's it," Dick smiled as he took off his suit and jumped in the lake.
...
I need to do something. I need to help Jason. We may have gotten in a big fight but he's family.
Dick arrived at Titans Tower and saw the other Titans gathered outside.
Wally ran up to him and gave him a hug, "We really need your help, Dick."
Before Dick could say anything, he heard a noise behind him and he turned around to see Jason.
