Another few months of investigations had passed. They had found the rest of Kaminari, his mangled body tossed crudely into a ditch in the barren country, far away from where he had been taken initially. He had multiple broken bones, missing fingers and his chest had numerous puncture wounds. However the most disturbing thing, in Aizawa's opinion, was the young teens head. His skull was collapsed on the right side almost entirely, and over half the skin on the left side of his face was missing. The investigative teams searched the area for a little over a week, gradually finding the teens missing fingers and the pieces of facial skin that had been cut off his face, proven by how neat the edges of the pieces were. An autopsy was done and they determined the cause of death was the blunt force trauma that had collapsed his skull. Aizawa paled when he was told that he was hit in the head first, but he wasn't killed instantly after one hit, it took more than that. That meant whoever did this to his student had stabbed, hit, ripped apart and broken his slowly dying, bleeding body. The teen was most likely crying, sobbing for help but no one could hear. They may have even enjoyed doing it, torturing the dying teen as his cries slowly dwindles into a hopeless and deafening silence. Aizawa eventually came to the conclusion of not telling his students exactly what had happened. He only planned to brief them,  he would only mention that they had found the rest Kaminari's body and that he would have the electric blonde teen buried properly, nothing more. Aizawa couldn't shake the sick and enraged feelings churning within him as he filled out the required paperwork. He swallowed heavily when he remembered that he had one more heartbreaking job to do. It was hard enough informing Kaminari's parents that he had gone missing and presumably had passed, but to tell them their son's body had been found brutally beaten and torn? To say that their precious boy had been thrown into a ditch to rot? He didn't want to witness Mrs. Kaminari sobbing on the floor again, her cries echoing through her house as her crying husband did his best to comfort the grief-stricken woman. After he finished the paperwork he stared at his phone. He inhaled deeply before reluctantly reaching forward and grabbing it, dialing the Kaminari's. He had done it in person the last time, but due to increased investigation he couldn't spare the time to do it again, as much as he knew it would be better to say something this earth shattering in person. His breath hitched when the call was answered and a soft, wobbly greeting was said. Aizawa took another breath, hands trembling as he spoke.

"Mrs...Mrs. Kaminari, hello again," He started softly, biting his lip.

"Hello again Eraserhead. Have you called about Denki? Has their been any updates?" She asked, tone rushed with the need to know. She needed answers on her son.

"Ah...yes...there was an...update,"  He took another moment to compose himself before continuing. "Mrs. Kaminari, I am sorry to inform you that we found your son. He was...he was brutally beaten and left in a ditch out in the fields. We determined the cause of death and have him here for you if you would like to see him and get some more information. I am so sorry," He said softly. He listened as there was a pause as she processed the words. The normally stoic hero couldn't stop his heart from cracking when the grieving mother starting wailing. He helplessly listened to her sob, crying out for her son, begging for the other to say he was lying, and that her son would be in her arms again. After informing her that no, he wasn't lying, she sobbed some more. Eventually, she agreed to come and see her boy, and the call ended shortly after. Aizawa shakily put his head in his hands, releasing a broken breath before his own tears started to drop onto the papers he had filled out. He had vowed to protect his students, to keep them safe and happy until they graduated, but he had failed. He had failed the electric teen. Now he would never graduate. He would never become the people hero he worked so hard to be, he would never save civilians again, he would never start an agency of his own. Aizawa quietly cried for what felt like years, grieving his lost student with a heavy, shattered heart.

Class 1-A sat on the dormitory couches, letting the words sink in. Their teacher had asked for them to meet him in the common room, as he had news. He informed his students that Kaminari had been found, but never told them what state he was found in. He refused to. They weren't ready to hear that. More tears were shed as the very last flickers of hope anyone had were diminished. Sobbing teens held onto other sobbing teens as they searched for comfort in each other. The same kind of comfort the slain blonde had provided for them. Aizawa did his best to calm them, but found it hard to not release the sorrow building in his eyes once more. When his students calmed, he bid them good day and made his way to the station. He walked into the meeting, eyes hard and determined. He was going to find out who did this to his student. He would find out. They would pay for what they'd done. Hed hand deliver every punishment and every blow they had built up inside his enraged heart. They weren't going to get away with this, he refused to allow it. He'd avenge his student, and protect his remaining kids as he did so. He swore it.
