Kalani's POV
It's been a few weeks since I joined the ALDC Elite competition team. I wasn't welcomed very warmly because Maddie and I performed our duet and I got blamed for driving Paige, Brooke and Kelly away from the team. I've been on top of the pyramid for a few weeks now, and I know that's Maddie's spot, so I don't think she likes me very much. I'm not the easiest person in the world to get along with, so I know it won't be easy to make friends here. I competed at AUDC a while ago and Miss Abby liked me so much, she actually used a callback card on me! I was literally the Maddie of AUDC! I didn't win, but I got to the finals! Maddie's been giving me dirty looks all month and I'm not happy about that.
"I need Kalani, Kira, Maddie, Mackenzie and Kendall in my office please," Miss Abby instructs. That's seriously weird. Why us? Maddie, Mackenzie, Kendall and I wait outside while Miss Abby talks to Mom. Mackenzie and Kendall seem pretty close. They quietly chat together with Maddie and I just stand nervously. Miss Abby opens the door and we all trail inside.
"Kalani, all of the other girls have been through this before, so I'm sure they'll help you with the shock of what I'm about to tell you," Miss Abby explains. The other girls look absolutely shocked. I look at mom and she nods her head towards Miss Abby. I look back at Miss Abby.
"Honey, Kira's not your mother. I am," Miss Abby clarifies. I gasp and run out of the room in tears. I can't believe it. Miss Abby is my real mother? How? Why? Why would Mom, Kira, and Miss Abby, Mom, lie to me? How could they do this? And why did she want Maddie, Mackenzie and Kendall in there? She said something about the girl being through... oh. So, they're actually my sisters? I can't believe it! Is Miss Abby nice behind the scenes, or is she... no, she can't be. She's a nice caring mother. My mother.
This is a short chapter, sorry, but it is one of my faves and I like the ending of this chapter, I think it sounds professional :) I'd love a comment or vote, or maybe even both? Even if you don't like it could you please take a minute of your time to tell me that you don't and maybe suggest something that would make it better because I am currently stuck on the 40th chapter so I am going to post up to there and then the rest of the story is open to feedback.
