[TRIGGER WARNING, PROCEED WITH CAUTION]"Allura, are you okay?" Lance asked his girlfriend worried. When they had arrived back from clear day Sam had found her collapsed on the ground.
"Where am I?" Allura asked.
"You're in the medical bay," Coran said.
"When we got back from clear day we found you collapsed on the ground," Lance said.
"What the hell were you doing near the entity? It's missing now," Maisey said stern, she had a hunch what Allura had done.
"Don't be so harsh Maisey," Lance said. Allura however didn't mind that she was so straight forward right away.
"I did what needed to be done," Allura said stubborn.
"No," Coran gasped.
"What needed to be done?" Lance asked her confused.
"The entity, it is connected to Honerva somehow," Allura said, "I believe we can use it."
"Use it.. I.." Lance stammered dissapointed. Maisey sighed as she stared at her friend from the end of her bed. She couldn't believe she would risk her life like that.
"I swore to your father that I would look after you," Coran said sad, "but I fear I may have let him down. This is the path of darkness."
"It is the path to defeating Honerva," Allura said.
"Give the entity to me, Allura," Maisey said with a serious look on her face. Everyone turned their heads to look at Maisey. Everyone was extremely confused by her offer.
"I can not do that," Allura said as she stared into Maisey's eyes.
"And why is that?" Maisey asked as she quirked a brow.
"You... you might not be strong enough to hold the entity," Allura sighed her brows furrowed together as she looked sternly at Maisey.
"I think I may just surprise you," Maisey said as she tilted her head, "we were both in that darkness hole with Honerva, you and I both know what it means."
Allura blinked several times in discomfort, Coran and Lance however were glancing between the girls rather confused by the conversation they were having.
"I don't care which one of you is strong enough to hold it because neither of you should hold it!" Lance scoffed furious, "get the darn thing out, Allura, it's not worth it."
"No," Allura said, "I have to do this.""You wanted to see me?" Shiro asked the Paladins.
"We might have a way to get to Honerva, we just wanted to run it by you," Pidge said. Lance however sat next to Allura with his arms crossed in anger. Nobody blamed him, it is not everyday your girlfriend holds some evil entity to be connected to the worst enemy the universe has ever had.
"The entity has bond me to Honerva," Allura explained, "the link is there wether we utilize it or not. I believe that if the Paladins connect using the shared consciousness of Voltron, we may be able to travel through the void and into Honerva's mind."
"That could, in theory, give us access to her physical location as well as key information on how to defeat her," Pidge explained.
"Which, after what happened the last time we faced her, could be super useful," Hunk said.
"Honerva is capable of creating galactic Komars, wormholes, Robeasts," Keith said, "And now Lotor and his mech
are out there somewhere. She is the single greatest threat the universe has ever faced, and we don't have any other leads. It might take lifetimes for another opportunity like this to come around. We think this is worth the risk."
"I spent a lot of time in the infinite void. It took all of my strength not to lose my sanity. And if you face Honerva in the void, she will win," Shiro said stern, "But... if you can find a clue that leads to defeating Honerva and Lotor, it could give us the upper hand in this fight."
"I don't like the idea of using Allura like this," Lance said and Maisey couldn't agree more, "We're messing with powers
we don't fully understand that have ruined countless lives. It's... it's dangerous."
"Lance, we're the Paladins of Voltron. There is no one more capable of taking this on," Allura said as she took his hand.
"I still think that I should hold the entity," Maisey said, really wanting to mess with their heads. Not to throw them off, but simply to convince them that she could pull it off and that it would be better to save Allura... after all, Allura was a rolemodel in the entire universe, in the end the universe would always need Allura more than her, and since this was so dangerous Maisey was convinced she would be the better fit.
"Excuse me?" Keith asked with a voicecrack, "you're not gonna hold anything."
"Why would you even think that you're qualified to hold the entity?" Pidge asked Maisey confused. The only people that knew what Honerva told her were Keith and Allura, so it wasn't strange that the others were confused.
"Oh, because there is a slight change my father was Altean, that makes me half Altean," Maisey said, "I am willing to take that risk if it means that Allura will most certainly make it out alive."
"What are you talking about?" Keith asked angered as he stood up looking down at his small girlfriend, "you're not gonna do it.. Altean or not, I am not letting you."
"You're my boyfriend, not my boss," Maisey grunted, "and besides I would be the better fit to hold the entity because Honerva would never see it coming if it was me and because if it goes wrong the universe can still rely on Allura.. I am replaceable but Allura isn't."
"You're not replaceable! Nobody could ever replace you!" Keith said as he bumped his fist on the table, actually causing her to jump, "I can not lose you."
"But you can afford to lose her?" Maisey asked as she nodded towards Allura. Keith got so furious his Galra side was starting to show, Maisey swallowed her fear, she really pissed him off.
"No," Keith said, "but I know for a certain that Allura can pull it off."
"And I can't? Am I too weak?" Maisey asked, she was surprised that Shiro wasn't coming between the two but maybe he did that on purpose.
"Of course you're not weak! You're the strongest person I have ever met!" Keith shouted.
"Then what's the problem Kogane?" She asked.
"I am not willing to risk your life on a fifty fifty shot that you might be Altean!" Keith said, "why would you?"
"Because if things actually go to shit and I live and she doesn't I will not be able to live with myself knowing that I could have done more," Maisey said, "even if it is a fifty fifty shot."
"I don't care, you're not doing it," Keith said, "I am the leader and I have made my desicion!"
"And mine along with it?" Maisey shot at him.
"Yes, Maisey," Keith said, "yours along with it. I'm leaving, debate with them all you want it is not happening!"
Keith stormed off angered, Maisey stared as he disappeard behind the closed doors, she grunted and plopped back into her chair.
"That was harsh," Shiro said as he looked at Maisey, "but Keith is right."
"It has to be me," Allura said, "thank you for trying to save me, I will be fine Maisey."
Everyone stood up, agreeing with Allura and eventually so did Lance.
"Let's do it," he said but he looked anxious.
"Besides we'll have our sharpshooter to protect us," Allura told Lance. Lance smiled broadly.
"I always knew that name would eventually catch on," Lance said.
