Chapter Twenty: All Is Fair In Love and War

Start from the beginning

For the next two days that they all had, they prepared and went over everything.  With the hundred or so people they had gathered they had a fair chance since many of the immortals they had gathered had been round for hundreds of years they knew more then the ones on the other side.  But all is fair in love and war kept going through Harry's head and he never knew what that meant... All he could remember is when Kaelyn said that before she turned dark, before the day they walked in and saw her parents and learned her life was a lie.  He was afraid he would not get her back or everything would be different...

Kaelyn's P.O.V.

I have been locked in this room for two days being interrogated and it's annoying me and I just want to go home...  I can't take this anymore!  I sat there tears streaming down my face waiting for the dummy who kidnapped me to come pack in.

I heard the door click signaling that someone was about to come into the room so my head snapped up.  It wasn't Aaron though, it was his twin brother Avan, he had been stopping in to make sure I was okay because he knew what his brother was planning, but he didn't want me to get hurt.

Avan somehow even convinced Aaron to not start the mating process until after he wins the battle.  The only thing is, I don't know what battle he was talking about... I just hope everyone will be okay.

"Hey Kaelyn," Avan said politely.  "Hello Avan," I replied staring at the wall.  "You okay?" he asked concerned sitting next to me.  "I want to go home, I don't want to be here, this is no where near anything to home to me.  Home is where the heart is, and my heart is with Harry," I choked out trying not to cry but failing.

"I will help you as much as I can, I have already talked to your parents about a plan, but I have no idea if it will work, but I can't tell you because then Aaron will figure out, I'm sorry..." I nodded and looked down at my red, swollen wrist, slightly bleeding from trying to escape.  "You tried to get out of them again didn't you?"  I nodded my head as he shook his head at me.  "Well at least you will get out of them later..."  I looked up at him, "What are you talking about?"  He looked at me solemnly, "The battle, and my plan go in action tonight, anything can happen..."  Someone screamed Avan's name, "Well I got to go, I will see you later, I hope everything works out okay."  He got up and walked out the door after looking at me with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

I yanked on the metal cuffs surrounding my wrists one more time and tried using my powers but nothing happened, all that happened was my wrists got cut up even more.  Just as I went to try again Aaron stormed into the room.  "Stop trying to use your powers, they keep reflecting onto my men and me!" he yelled in rage.  "I looked down at his burned outfit and muffled my laugh.  "Sorry..."  He shook his head and walked out of the room.

After sitting there in silence for a little while a small girl about the age of sixteen walked in with a bag with her head hung down low.  "Miss Renea, are you ready to prepare for the battle," her small voice asked.

"I guess, and please call me Kaelyn, my name is not Renea and technically never has been."  The young girl nodded and pulled out clothing, a box of shoes, a brush, and a bunch of other essentials out of the bag.

"Miss, I mean Kaelyn, when I unlock the cuffs please don't run, or I will be in danger...again," the young girl said sadly.  "Oh, okay sweetie, what's your name?" I asked.  "My-my name," she looked up with large brown eyes.  I nodded, "I honestly don't know my name... I have always just been called slave," she looked down.  "Well love, you are going to get a name today, how about Annaleise?"  She nodded with a smile, "You know you don't have to be shy..." she frowned, "I'm not sh-shy."
