Three years later

"Quinnzelle, wanna go play outside?" Haru asked, her sea green eyes booming with child-like wonder. Before her sat a seven year old Quinnzelle Shiobana, who finally was processed through the adoption system a few years ago. Her hair had suddenly gotten a lot lighter, her regular blonde hair shining as if it were pure platinum. But, the most recognizable thing about her was the interest which replaced the blankness which once resided in her violet eyes. "Mommy said that we can only play until dinner."

Lifting her head from the book she read, Quinnzelle held a blank expression as annoyance flashed in her eyes. Crossing her arms she narrowed her brows at her older sister. "I thought dad told you to leave me be when I was reading, Haru. I just got to the most interesting part too." She whined, pouting as she was interrupted from her world which existed within the pages. The young girl had developed a hunger for knowledge very young.

Kneeling beside her younger sister, Haru groaned at the seven year old's actions. Her antics were nothing new. Ever since she mastered the basics of how to read Japanese writing, Quinn would never put a book down. "Why can't we just have fun? Are you really going to stay cooped up in an office for the rest of your life with your nose in that dumb book? I wanna go party with you when we get older, not be losers and read stuff about wizards."

"Hey! It isn't about only wizards, Haru." Quinnzelle argued, flipping the cover of her book to her annoyed older sister. Sparkles filled the seven year old's eyes as she grinned at the knowledge she had uncovered. "It's about The Speedwagon Foundation, and I'm going to work with them one day! I'll uncover this world's mysteries no matter what it takes." Skimming her fingers to a specific picture, the girl grinned. "And it all starts with the Hypatia stone. I'm gonna find it someday!"

Four years later

She was only eleven years into her life, but tragedy struck her once again. She felt numb. Her heart was cold and her feelings were completely deserted, the only sense of normalcy in her life seeming to wash away with the pouring rain.

Beside her stood Haru Shiobana and her father, Benjiro Shiobana. Tears violently streamed down the older sister's face as she sobbed into her dad's trench coat. Her father struggled to remain calm, his body betraying him as it shook with pure devastation. For his wife was finally taken by sickness.

That's when everything began to change for Quinn Forester.

_____

1989, Cario

Quinn suddenly felt someone roughly grabbing her shoulder, their grip extremely strong. The extremely wounded woman felt her body being aggressively shook, not feeling the dangling of another arm on her left side. She then realized the terrible events which just happened were not a bad dream like she had hoped. The terrifying occurrence of her limb being completely severed from her being truly happened, despite ever fiber in her brain and heart desperately begging for it to all be a sick and twisted lie.

She was somehow alive. The woman could not even fathom how she had survived such a dangerous situation. Her blood should have been completely spilled from her body, ending her life from the extreme loss. But she still felt like she was living, even though it was hard to even breathe due to the pressure crushing her lungs. Miraculously, she weakly laid on the cold concrete of Cario, still breathing.

"S-She's alive!" A woman's voice gasped happily in pure amazement. Cheers filled the street as Quinn weakly and slowly opened her eyes, dried blood caking her lids making it quite difficult to see at first. Using a lot of effort, the young woman pried her orbs to the surface, astonished as she realized her violet optics were still working as they should on any human being. "M-Medic! We need a medic!" She screamed with desperation, turning around to a crown of civilians who stood around the extremely wounded female. "Please stay on the ground miss. You are in absolutely no condition to move. We will get you help as soon as possible."
