Chapter Nine

                                    

                                          
Nabi's POV 
                          
I woke up earlier than the usual today so might as well use that time to prepare breakfast and lunch for school since I have to prepare extra for Soobin. 
                          
I finished preparing food for us, the only thing left to do is to wake him up. I went to his room to wake him up. I kneel beside his bed and booped his nose for a couple of times to wake him up.
                          
"Wake up oppa. We have a big day ahead." I cheered as I move to sit on the edge of his bed. He opened his eyes and rubbed it to wipe the drowsiness away. "Good morning princess." He cooed as he pull me to hug him. He caressed my hair and pecked my forehead. I missed this so much, I missed waking him up, I missed his clingy side when I wake him up.
                          
I pulled him up to sit on his bed. "Let's go eat breakfast." He smiled as he pat my head. "I'll clean up first." I nodded before leaving his room to prepare myself. I took a bath and did my face routine. I went downstairs with my bag to wait for my brother.
                          
As soon as we finish everything we need to do, it's time for us to go to school. I'm not usually clingy but since I missed him so much, I can't help but to sweet and clingy to him which he didn't mind. We arrived at school but the first thing I saw already ruined my day, Lucas. 
                          
"Wow, look who we have here." Great! Just great. Why does he always have to ruin my mood like for goddamn sake! Can't you just let me live this day peacefully?
                          
"Back off." Taehyun suddenly popped out of nowhere that made me jump a little. "You scared me." I whispered making sure Lucas didn't notice. He just mouthed a small sorry.
                          
"What do you want now?" My brother eyed me with confusion written all over his face.
                          
"Who's he?" Soobin asked me. Lucas grinned obviously having a mischievous plan in his head.
                          
"Aww... Is this your new boyfriend little slut?" Soobin and Taehyun almost marched towards him after hearing his words.
                          
"Yah! Lucas! Want me to beat your ass up?" Yeonjun came with Beomgyu and Ryujin. "I may not know who you are but don't you dare mess with my sister." Lucas' standing in front of us looking like a fool because he called me a "slut" in front of my BROTHER.
                          
Soobin pulled me away from the scene with the others following us. Finally, a place where peace can be found, rooftop. 
                          
"So you're her brother?" Yeonjun asked Soobin. He let out a subtle nod as a confirmation. "Who's that guy back there?" Now it's Soobin's time to ask his question.
                          
"Oh that? That's Lucas, don't mind him. He's always a jerk to everyone" Beomgyu butted in. "Why did he call my sister a slut?" I can tell that he's pretty mad right now.
                          
"It's because she hangs out with us. Most of us are boys and it's his way of calling her names since he resents Nabi so much" His head tilted to the side showing his confusion.
                          
"Your sister humiliated that jerk multiple times. Well, she just made him taste his own medicine" Soobin looks comfortable around them and that's a good start. They began introducing themselves one by one.
                          
"So who among them did it?" I frowned but I immediately covered his mouth before he could even say the word "underwear".
                          
"Un-- what?" They all exchange confused looks with each other. The bell rang meaning that it's already time to go to our class but since Yeonjun and Soobin are a year older than us they have different class with us. We proceeded to our respective classrooms to start class.
                          
As our music teacher start to discuss a few topics, I noticed that someone's missing. I tapped Beomgyu's arms and leaned in to whisper. "Beom have you seen Kai and Yuna?" He leaned back to reply.
                          
"I haven't seen them this morning and I have no Idea where they are." Where could they possibly be? Yuna didn't tell me if she's going to school neither Kai. I'm getting a bit worried cause I haven't received any messages from them this morning.
                          
I was about to take my phone out of my pocket when they entered together. "I'm sorry we're late miss, personal matters" Yuna bowed as an apology.
                          
"I'll let it go for now cause it's your first offense but if this happens one more time, I'll send you to detention" She mentioned them to sit on their chairs.
                          
I looked at Kai but he seemed off. He's not in a good mood isn't he? I tried to talk to him but he ignored me.
                          
What's with him?
                          
Kai's POV 
                          
Is that Nabi? With a guy?
                          
I was looking forward to see Nabi but instead of being happy because I saw her, I felt a pang on my chest when a scene unfolded in front of my very eyes. Nabi's with an unfamiliar guy and she's clinging on him. They look so sweet together, the guy looks a year older than us. He's wearing a black long sleeves and black jeans. His sleeves pulled up to his arms. They hopped in, luckily I was seated at the back most part of the bus. I watched them with pain in my heart.
                          
I let them get down first before I hopped of the vehicle. Seeing them cling with each other makes my heart ache. I let out a heavy sigh before started walking. I suddenly felt someone tap me so I looked back but there's no one. When I turned my head around again I saw Yuna standing with a cheeky smile on her face that startled me. I ruffled her hair before walking with her.
                          
"Something's off with you, spill." As expected, she noticed that something's wrong. I can't hide it especially from her. Yuna is like a younger sister to me, ever since we met, she treated me as like his own brother and I treated her as my sister. She's always the first one to notice if I have a problem.

                          
'It's the girl that I like, I just found out that she already has a boyfriend'

                          
"Let's go. I'll treat you to cheer you up." She dragged me to the nearby convince store. She bought me my favorite snacks and we ate for a while. "I didn't know Nabi has a boyfriend." She said while eating snacks. How on earth did this girl know?! I tried to act normal and unaffected hoping that she would take it back. "You like Nabi, don't even try to deny. You know I can see right through you." She warned me.

                          
'Okay, I surrender' I raised my hand.

                          
"But... how did you know?" She asked after she swallowed her food. 

                          
'I saw her earlier with a guy. They're so sweet together and Nabi looks happy with him'

                          
She tapped my back and rubbed it. "If you really like her, you'll have to let her go. Let her find her true happiness." I just nodded at her statement. I guess, I'll just have to move on.
                          
I lost without even trying...
