❝I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE HERE

AND LYING NEXT TO ME❞

ONE DIRECTION, TRULY MADLY DEEPLY

Waking up before Jason wasn't as glamorous as one would think. For starters, Lorelei couldn't wake the young Robin up no matter how hard she tried. And place your trust in Lorelei because she certainly tried. That wasn't the worst part.

No, the worst part came with the right grip Jason's arm had as it stayed around her waist. The young mage could barely turn around to face the spiky haired boy to further her attempts at waking him up for the grip he had on her.

So, they were cuddling in their sleep. What about it? Friends did this, right? Right. It was perfectly normal.

Any nearby snacks Lorelei could wrap her fingers around her had been eaten a long time ago. Well, all the quiet snacks like marshmallows and leftover gummies were eaten. Lorelei couldn't muster up the courage to wake the young Robin up by munching on popcorn and other noisy snacks.

She wasn't totally rude.

Besides, she was close to giving up and allowing the boy to sleep in. He was kind enough to stay up until the early AM with Lorelei and have one of the best movie marathons of her life - seriously, it would be difficult to surpass this - so the least she could do was die of boredom until the clock struck whatever hour when Jason would eventually wake up.

It was eleven AM. The duo had called it quits at six that morning which gave Lorelei the usual time she had every night. She didn't know how long Jason would sleep per night but one thing was for certain - he was a heavy sleeper.

"Wake up, Jason." Lorelei groaned quietly against the walls of the cinema room. When the boy didn't move a muscle, the young mage sighs to herself and gives up by snuggling her way back into his bare chest.

Any embarrassment felt with his half naked frame had been lost many hours ago. Much like the small stutter Jason would adorn whenever Lorelei's bare legs evaded the blanket as she got new snacks or a drink. Though Lorelei attempted to not look, Jason opted to only look.

It begged the question as to how their limbs became so close to one another as Lorelei distinctly remembered falling asleep on the other side of the sofa. There was the unwritten rule last night of remaining close, unbearingly and annoyingly close, but it was a rule they followed.

Which included where they slept.

Their feet would occasionally hit the other's leg, which ended up in a quick game of footsie and laughter before things settled down once the end credits of their final film rolled in.

And yet somehow Lorelei abandoned her duvet, pillows, and side of the couch. Weird.

"Comfortable?" Jason muttered, his arm pulling Lorelei impossibly closer as his grip somehow tightened against her waist.

"Shut up, I woke up like this."

"Yeah, like twenty minutes ago." Jason laughed, sleep still evident as he opened his eyes.

The cinema room, by design, was a dark room. It was great for waking up, no adjusting your eyes to any unwanted light from outside and perfect for falling back into a slumber.

Lorelei wouldn't admit it, especially not to herself, but the young mage wouldn't mind slipping back asleep if it meant being in Jason's arms. Even if that sleep brought her back to the terrors every sleep had. She felt safe.
