Chapter 2: Flirty Boys Are Annoying

The choreography we have to do is somewhat a mix of easy and challenging. But after four hours of dancing, my whole body was aching. I don't see how Dominic and Aaron can do this without hardly breaking a sweat. 


                          
"Okay. We're going to take a quick break and then start working on singing," Peggy said. 


                          
"Thank God," I said while panting. 


                          
I headed over to Christian, who was with David, getting bottles of water.


                          
"Hey, love. Want a water," Christian asked. 
"After all that dancing, hell yes. Also, don't call me love. We aren't even a couple, and I don't like it," I answered while handing me a cold water bottle. 
"Okay, but do you have a boyfriend back where you live," Christian asked. 
"Nope. I don't see how a guy could find me attractive," I replied. 


                          
"Y/N don't belittle yourself. You're a smart, kind, and beautiful girl. I'm sure any guy would be lucky to have you as their girlfriend," David said. 
"I guess you're right, David," I said. 


                          
"You know, it's not fair how you get it easy on some of these dances, Marty," Max said while walking over to us. 
"Well, I have to dance with a crutch. I'm sure that'll be twice as hard," he said as he grabbed a water. 


                          
"Hey guys," Max said. 
"Hi," Christian said. 


                          
"Hey, Y/N," Marty said. 
"Hey," I said with a smile.
"I heard that you and David have a kissing scene," Marty said as David choked on his water. 


                          
"David, are you okay," I asked.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine," he answered while breathing slowly. 
"Okay," you said.


                          
"Hey, Y/N. Do you have any plans for tonight," Dominic asked as he, Aaron, Trey, Michael, and Gabriel walked over to us. 
"No," I replied. 
"Good. The ten of us are getting dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard and we can hang out in one of our hotel rooms after," Dominic said. 
"Okay. That sounds like fun," I said.


                          
"Wait. I didn't agree to that," Max said. 
                          
"Neither did I," Trey said. 
                          
"Too bad. You're both going," Dominic said.


                          
"Guys, we should consider it lucky that Y/N agreed to go. I mean she hardly knows us," Gabriel said. 
"Dude, we hardly know each other too," Aaron said. 


                          
"Y/N," Michael said. 
"What," I asked as he picked me up bridal style. "Michael Goorjian! Put me down!"
"Never! You're mine now, princess," he said as he started tickling me with his free hand. 


                          
What is it with Michael and Christian giving me pet names? It's weird. It's as if they like me or something. That can't be it though. We just met today. Ugh. Flirty boys are so fucking annoying. 


                          
"Michael, put Y/N down. Okay guys. We're going to start practicing our singing. We're going to start with Carrying The Banner," Peggy said as he put me down. "Max you have the opening line."
"Okay," he said. 


                          
We worked through Carrying The Banner a few times to get the hang of the song, and we also practiced our New York accents too. Once we got the hang of doing the New York accents, we started going over the script and the other songs. 


                          
"Now, Y/N and David. It says you both kiss here, but we'll work on that later," Kenny said. 


                          
"Damn it," I heard David mumble under his breath.
"Are you okay, David," I asked. 
"I'm alright, beautiful," he answered. 
"You seem kinda bummed that we can't kiss," I said. 
"I'm not. I'm fine," David said as his voice went a bit higher. 
"Okay," I said before walking away to get another water. 


                          
David is giving me a pet name too now. This'll be a great few months. 


                          
"Hey, Y/N," Trey said.
"Hey. What's up," I asked. 
"The sky," Trey replied. 
"No shit, Trey," I said. 
"Anyway, Max, Marty, and I have come up with a nickname for you since you're the only girl here," he said. 
"Oh boy. What is it," I asked. 
"Girlsie," Trey answered. 
"Really? That's the best you could come up with," I said. 
"It was either that or shorty. Besides, we came up with girlsie because you're the only girl here, and you play a girl newsie," Trey said. 
"That won't catch on," I said. 


                          
"Hey, girlsie," Aaron said while walking over to us. 


                          
"Fuck," I said under my breath. 


                          
"You can't escape it, doll," Trey said. 
"Why did you call me that," I asked. 
"Well, because you look like a beautiful porcelain doll," Trey replied. 


                          
Now Trey's giving me a pet name. Who's next? Max? 


                          
"Hey, babe. I heard Trey telling you about the nickname he, Marty, and I came up with for you," Max said. 


                          
Fuck. He called me babe. 


                          
"I'm not your babe, Max. We aren't a couple, and it isn't going to happen," I said. 
"You don't know that," he said. 

                          
"Max don't scare the poor girl off. He wasn't bothering you, was he angel," Dominic asked while getting a water. 
"No, he wasn't. Thanks for asking I guess, Dom," I answered. 


                          
You know what? I think Dominic's pet name for me is cute in an innocent way, so I'm gonna let that one slide. 


                          
"Y/N, can you get my water bottle? I dropped it," Aaron said. 
"Nope. You just want me to bend over, so you can look at my ass," I said. 
"You're right, sexy," Aaron said before picking up his water bottle. 
"Oh, piss off, Aaron," I said. 


                          
Sexy. Great. I think that's what all these boys think of me. Oh boy. Here come Marty, Gabriel, Christian, Michael, and David. 


                          
"Say, gorgeous, can you hand me a water bottle," Gabriel asked. 
"Only if you don't call me gorgeous again, Gabe," I replied while handing him a water bottle. 
"I just called you what you are. There's no need to be rude," he said. 
"I wasn't being rude," I said as I took a sip of my water. 


                          
"We're done here for today. We'll see you all tomorrow," Kenny said. 


                          
Thank God we're done for the day. I'm starving. Also, I wonder why Marty hasn't given me a pet name yet. That's strange. Oh well. That's one less thing to worry about. 


                          
"I took a cab here. Can I ride with one of you to the restaurant," I asked. 
"Sure. You can ride with me, princess," Michael answered. 


                          
"Can I ride with you too," Christian and Gabriel asked at the same time. 
"Fine," Michael replied with a sigh as we walked to his car. 


                          
"I call shot gun," I said as I got into Michael's car. 


                          
This is gonna be one eventful night. I just know it.
