"I'm not really up for this..." Bruce said truthfully, feeling very uncomfortable at her proposal.
Natasha rolled her eyes. "Oh come on. It's not like I'm asking you to sleep with me, though I wouldn't mind seeing the Hulk in action." Bruce went red and she continued. "This is for charity. Come on!"
She grabbed his arm and pulled him around the corner, behind the haunted house. They went in through the back entrance to see all the staff putting on make up.
Bruce pouted. "This is creeping me out."
Natasha gave him back the most deadpan look in the world. "Are you for real? You're a hulk and you can't do haunted houses?"
He shrugged. "They're kind of scary..."
She pulled out a chair and sat him down. "Well it's for charity, and we might even get to scare Tony."
"Well why didn't you say so?!"

After two hours of make up, a lot of prosthetics and a bunch of fake blood, Natasha had successfully turned Bruce Banner, one of the more calm, nice looking men of the world, into a walking horror movie.
"Ok. You're done. Look in the mirror."
He turned and screamed, jumping and tripping over his chair until he was on the floor with a pain in his lower spine. "What the hell."
She giggled. "Do you like it?"
He groaned, standing up and taking a peak at himself in the mirror before looking away. "You scare me."
She laughed. "Ok. Hurry up. I need to do my makeup. Don't smudge any of that. Promise."
He nodded.

You arrived, giggling to yourself. Your friend, Stella, had decided to go with you this year. Normally you'd go with your boyfriend, but that ship has sailed and you needed to cheer up with some girl time.
"I'm so excited! I heard that this year they have even more spooky surprises!" she giggled.
You couldn't help but laugh at her excitement. It was catchy.
The two of you bought your tickets then went straight to wait in line.
You bumped into someone.
"Oh. Gosh. Sorry," you said.
He turned around. Hottie alert.
He smiled and you melted. "Hi," he said.
"H-Hey."
"Next group up!" the zombie dressed girl said, her smile betraying her and lulling you into a false sense of security.
"That's us. See you on the other side." Then just like that, cute boy was gone.
Stella giggle at you. "I think he's definitely better than you know who."
You shrugged. "I guess."
She sighed. "Oh don't be so down! (Y/N)! Come on! Loosen up! Have some fun!"
You nodded. "Ok. Fun."
She grinned. "Great."
Five minutes later, you were let in in a group of eight other people. Oh god.
You took your first steps in, the others seemingly having pushed you in front. You held Stella's hand with a death grip.
"Boo!"
You screamed and the other screamed as though they were your echo.
"Run while you can," you heard. Your eyes were squeezed shut and you were hoping that Stella was looking where she was going. When if became apparent she wasn't, you continued on your way.
You entered a room with bloody brides and corpses strung up wearing probably what a groom would wear. Even looking at the things that weren't moving was scary enough. You wanted out.
"Here comes the bride... All dress in white..." you heard someone sing. Then a face was in front of you.
You let out a shrill scream and almost wet your pants. You panted as you continued on. You should've brought water. Your vocal chords were really getting pushed today.
"Stella! Is there something around the corner?!" you squeaked as you entered a concrete, jail looking maze.
"I don't know! You look!"
You turned the corner to be met by zombies. Ah crap.
You screamed as you made your way through it and the nine that followed screamed too.
You'd made it to the end. You kissed the floor, panting. "Oh my god. I never want to do that again - " A chainsaw revved. You looked up and screamed. Whatever that was, that was scary as hell! Hockey mask and all. You ran for the real exit, shaking your head. "Never again! Never! Never! Ever! Ever! Ever! No more!"
Stella laughed at you. "Don't be such a wimp."
You laughed. "If I recall, I led you all through that!"
You felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around and the absolutely most scary thing you'd ever encountered, stood there. You screamed, punching him where the sun didn't shine. He double over, groaning. You didn't feel remorse until you realised that under there was a human too.
"Oh my god! Sorry!" you said.
He waved it off. "No it's fine." Every word he said felt forced. He was definitely in pain.
"Let me help you up," you said, putting your arm around him and helping him walk.
"Oh god," he grumbled.
"Sorry!"
He shook his head, taking his first good look at you. "I'm Bruce - by the way." His words still sounded forced.
You smiled. "(Y/N)."
Maybe the haunted house wasn't that bad. And maybe that cute guy had just been stood up for the first time in his life.
