Omelette, yogurt with strawberries, and a frappuccino.

It was pretty boring to eat this stuff every day. Brielle really did not surprise me, like ever. I would have wanted to fire her. Boring, lower-class gray mouse. If it was not for my mother, I probably would have replaced her with someone a lot younger long ago. Someone like those women that were dancing on the holographic television in front of my bed. After a quick wank, I changed the program to watch sports. I called a friend so he could join into my virtual reality, experiencing the game from up close. A level of closeness that mind you, I would not be comfortable having with a stripper. At least not on most days.

Sharky and I stood up and screamed as our team scored, three times this match. By the end of the game, we exchanged our secret handshake. He asked me to meet tonight at the Pearlbar, I agreed.

I got up to pick out clothes from my digital wardrobe. After only 30 minutes I had figured out just the right combination: a shiny orange long-sleeve shirt with my stainless steel necklace, black jeans ripped on the right knee and my black and white sneakers. I liked the sneakers because Ron Paulda had signed them a few months ago. I did not usually keep shoes for longer than 3 months, but these ones I might even keep for 6 months at least. I called in Brielle to tell her to clean up my room and routinely criticize her dressing. A gray cotton dress that reached up to her knees, no belt. She was not wearing any make-up or jewelry and to make matters even worse her shoulder-long brown hair was tied behind her head. Who did she think she was? Just because she was reaching her thirties did not mean she could let herself go like that. Brielle routinely told me to take up any complaints I have with my mother and then went on to clean my room.

I went to the living room to look after my fish, Bark, and Barko. I had instructed Brielle not to feed them so they would be very hungry when I put in the mice. I picked up a squeaking little mouse from a container next to the aquarium, holding it by its tail. The fish rushed to the surface. When I dropped the mouse, the water quickly turned red. It was not disappointing.

After feeding the fish, I went to my gym room. I started off with some cardio. It was leg day. Not my favorite work out routine, but necessary.

I texted some girls from college, showed off my newest spaceship to one of them. Girls are easy when they know you come from money.

My boys were waiting for me at Pearlbar. It is not that I was too busy to join them in time, I just love to make an entrance. They embraced me passionately.

After a few drinks Sheila, one of my exes, started making out with the bartender right next to our seats. I and my friends moved outside. I noticed a pair of big breasts coming our way so I looked up from my techdevice. She had a tattoo of a Hibiscus flower on her left boob. Her smile and the way she moved, definitely an avatar. "You know the drill," she said, opening up her hand. We all put in some money, it disappeared and a bag full of magic appeared in its place. "Damn sexy disguise", I said. I took one pill with a pink color before she could even explain what it was. Her expression did not change much and I was disappointed. The avatar probably did not mirror her real facial expressions, there is a setting for that.

I smiled while my friends started asking her for recommendations. My ex had started getting hot and heavy with the waiter and I decided to go out for a walk on the beach. Sharky joined me though I did not ask him to.

"Give me more stuff", he knew not to make me ask twice. I had paid for more than half of it at the least. Things got colorful after I took another pill.

I woke up next to my ex, the waiter, and some other girl. We were in my room.

I had a strong headache and my muscles were screaming. Tiredly I wandered into the kitchen. "A smoothie, please," I asked the kitchen bot. My mother was listening to music in the other room. Some boring piano tunes. Any sound would have been antagonizing at this point, but piano music? I went straight into her room. "TURN DOWN THE MUSIC" I yelled loudly and without thinking. Mother was in bed, some kind of liquid was dripping into her arm. She seemed tired as she always did. "I will not be talked to in that tone," she said quietly but firmly. Her voice was a bit shaky because of the sickness.

I went to her stereo to turn off the music. "What is that crap anyways? Can't you listen to real music?"

Mother was trying hard to sit down on the side of the bed. Brielle finally came to help her when I had almost left the room. "Where are you going?" mother asked desperately trying to maintain some sort of composure.

"Well I am not staying in this lame house" I answered without stopping to look back. I grabbed a smoothie from the kitchen and went on the terrace, the sun was already high in the sky. Was it noon? Mother had sent Brielle after me to call me back into her bedroom. I jumped over the fence to walk towards the ocean. Brielle called me but stopped after a while. My shirt was ripped and I was not wearing pants. My necklace was gone, probably stolen. I sat down and watched the waves come up to my legs. Goddammit. These stone-old people trying to understand anything in this fast-paced living. My head felt big and under pressure. I lied down, resting my eyes, and finally passing out.
