the day after her successful date with harry, allie was back at her university and attending her classes.
allie was in her final year at the london university. she was studying her favourite subject with her new best friend and in a city that she had grown to love. life was perfect for allie at the moment and she was determined to keep it that way.
walking into the lecture hall with monique, allie pulled out her notebook and her pencil case. because it was a lecture, the blonde girl would just be scribbling down notes and sentences that she thought would be important when it came to exam time. this meant that her notebook was incredibly messy and not neat in the slightest. in fact, her messy, stressed handwriting was almost impossible to read but when she got home, she would always rewrite her notes so that they were neat and file them in her ring binder.
"what happened last night? you've been giddy all morning." monique asked the girl who was sitting next to her. their lecturer was always late on a monday morning. it was probably because he was always slightly hungover from the weekend but he was a great professor and made the subject even more interesting than what it already was to allie.
"he tried to teach me how to play a bit of football but i'm hopeless at it." allie went into a bit of a day dream, reminiscing the night that she had had. the blonde girl would do it all again in a heart beat because she felt that it was literal perfection. allie wasn't a believer in 'perfect' because nothing ever was. everything had flaws but when she thought about her date with harry, she believed that it was flawless.
"and then what?" monique pushed, knowing that her best friend had more information up her sleeve.
"we watched the sunset together on his car and then we kissed." as soon as the words left allie's mouth, monique let out a loud squeal which earned them both glares and dirty looks from many of the people who were on the same course.
allie had struggled to make friends on her university course at first. she was a quiet girl and being social and making new friends didn't come easily to the blonde. she was so small and quiet that most people wouldn't ever notice her. but monique wasn't most people. the two girls ended up sharing a flat and became really close. it turned out that they had a lot of things in common and allie liked the fact that someone on her course had actually taken the time to get to know her.
allie had never met harry winks until two months ago despite the fact that her best friend dated him for almost a year and became close friends after they broke up. monique was very secretive about harry. allie was only ever allowed to know that he was her boyfriend but never knew what he looked like. when the two split up, they took a bit of time apart and a year later, they were friends again. they didn't actually spend a lot of time together since they were both busy but when they did, allie never seemed to be around. it was rather unfortunate on her behalf.
before monique could ask any other questions, their professor walked in and started the lecture. any further interrogation would have to wait.

allie campbell shut her notebook and tried to rid her hand of the cramp that it had because her lecture was now finished. the girl was free to go back to her flat and relax. she thought about texting harry and asking him if he wanted to hangout. allie knew that she would need monique's advice on that one because she didn't want to come across as desperate."hey, allie!" tess, one of the girls on the course, called the blonde's name. allie had never actually spoken to tess but from what she heard on campus, the raven haired girl could be quite mean when she wanted to. it was ridiculous when allie thought about it. they were in their final year of university and in their twenties, tess should have grown out of it and stopped being petty a long time ago.
"heard you're a bit of a home wrecker and a boyfriend stealer." tess' words hit allie like a truck. she had no idea what she was alluding to. was harry a different guy to the one that she initially thought that he was?
"i'm sorry?" allie asked, wanting tess to repeat what she had said and perhaps clarify things for the blonde girl.
"you know, dating your best friend's ex boyfriend. everyone is talking about it. it just goes to show that you're a snake and maybe even a worse person than we thought." tess giggled to herself and her two friends. allie knew it was all childish but still, she wasted absolutely no time in getting out of the lecture hall. she didn't wait for monique either.
allie found herself on a bus and making her way to the spurs training complex because the only person that she wanted to see was harry.
when allie was in the car park, she recognised harry's car and stood by it, wishing that their session would end.
the blonde girl spotted the boy that she wanted to see in the distance and not long after he caught sight of her, he started to jog towards her.
"what's going on? i don't like what's going on here." his london accent broke their silence and allie didn't say anything, she simply threw herself into his arms.
harry's embrace was exactly what she needed. it made her feel safe and protected so she clung onto him like her life depended on it.
"it's okay. i've got you." his voice was soft as he spoke and she felt him press a kiss into her hair. it was reassuring to allie.
having always been a quiet girl, allie didn't take criticism well and she often took other people's words to heart and that was something that harry could relate to.
allie appreciated the fact that harry didn't ask questions, he was just there for her and that's all that she needed.
a/n: poor allie :(
also, i'm so sorry that this chapter is a day late! yesterday was just kind of busy for me. hibs were playing again and so that was stressful. we won 1-0 so we're still top of the league until tonight that is. jack ross (our manager) is also the first hibs manager since eddie turnbull to win our first three league fixtures and that was in 1974. it's all going to go terribly wrong at some point though.
today's question is: what do you use to listen to music? do you have a spotify account?
- i use spotify all the time. it's got to be one of my favourite apps alongside wattpad.enjoy and stay safe!
lots of love, e x
