Kenma's POV:
The weekend passed quickly, before we knew it, it was already Monday after noon.
We had all met in our gym as usual for after school practise.
"Kenma! Can you set for me? Pretty please!" A tall grey headed boy, Lev, came begging me as soon as I stepped inside the gym.
"Can't you ask Akaashi? He's just as good, better even." I said in a monotone voice, only rying to get rid of the annoying teammate.
"Akaashi's busy with Bokuto, please!"
I looked over to where Akaashi stood, he was in fact setting for Bokuto.
I sighed and picked up a ball, knowing I was the only setter who wasn't busy, I kinda had to.
After about five minuets of setting the ball only for Lev to miss it half the time, Kuroo finally arrived.
"Hey, sorry I'm late." He enters, scratching the back of his head.
"Hey hey hey Kuroo! You arrived!" Bokuto shouted, punching his fist into the air.
Kuroo then looked over to me, I gave him a soft smile before returning to my practice with Lev.
"Kitten." He spoke in a quite voice, only loud enough for me and him to hear, and maybe Lev.
"Don't call me that. And get you team sorted, we were all waiting for you, you know."
"Yep, yep." He started getting everyone's attention, telling us what we should do for todays practise and splitting us up into teams.
~
"Hey Kenma?" Kuro got my attention. We were now walking home, just the two of us.
"Yeah?"
"Do you like volleyball?"
"Hm, not really." I shrugged. Volleyball didn't really mean much to me, I didn't put much effort into it unless we were in a real match. And even then the only reason I would put effort into it is because I don't want to let my team down, or more specifically, I don't want to let Kuroo down.
"You just need to play a real good match, you just haven't had the feeling yet." Kuroo said almost proudly.
"I don't know, maybe."
Soon enough, we had arrived at my place, we said our good byes and separated ways.
~
"Hey mom." I greeted my mom who was standing in the living room when I entered my house.
"Hey, how was school?"
"Same as usual." I sighed. I never liked school, I never had a strong connection to anything but video games and Kuroo.
I walked upstairs, taking my phone out my pocket.
3 new messages.

I swiped off the chat, not believing anything Akasshi was saying. Kuroo probably just glanced over and Akaashi is just over reacting to try get my hopes up or something.

Kuro <3
Kuro <3:
Heyy kitten, meet me after your moms asleep?~
It's not like it's an unusual thing for him to ask me to do this. I often snuck out to meet him after dark, and when I'd refuse he's come knocking on my window.
~
Kenma:
Why?~
Although I'd still ask why every time. Sometimes he would have a reason like he needed help for a test or some advice, yet normally he'd just say something like 'I wanna see you' or 'I miss you' which would always make me flustered.
