Menace, power oozed from him. It ward off the air that swayed around them, horrified the wraiths to keep distance because the devil had just uncloaked himself.
"I gave you a warning, Cloud. We informed you to keep distance from her. You did not pay heed to my warning," Damon shook his head as if despondent, "Now look what has occurred, I am here to slaughter my friend and terminate the complications once and for all." he enunciated.
"And I warned you, come after her, touch her, I will annihilate you." Cloud's inexplicable voice rang in her brain like a wretched thunder.
The fist that held the fabric of his shirt trembled uncontrollably. She tightened her grip further so that her knuckles turned pallid. "Cloud, Cloud, Cloud," Damon exhaled, "Do not meddle, I will most certainly kill that bitch, she is not to live. The throne belongs to me." he spat fiercely, eyes on Cloud.
Throne! What did they mean? Faith's mouth went dry at his words as if she gulped down a fistful of sand. She could not comprehend any of this. What does he mean?
The fabled assassin returned the glare with drastic fury, "Greed, greed has always been an imprecation in your lineage. However, I will never let this occur." Cloud vocalized with a dour face.
"You know Cloud I have to assassinate her. If I do not, the sahirs will have no inconvenience in locating Eargon's daughter. So let this be uncomplicated for all of us." Damon uttered with a grin.
"You are well aware that as long as I breathe you cannot commit that." the ferocious assassin snarled.
A sob escaped Faith's lips and that caught Damon's attention. She dug her nails in Cloud's skin aware of how he flinched. "Faith, my beloved friend. I am utterly sorry to have betrayed you!" Damon's smirk transformed in to a grin.
"What are you talking about?" A silent horror-stricken voice interrogated.
"Of course you do not have the knowledge of it, let me elaborate it for you." Damon separated his feet few inches, then crossed his arms over his chest.
"Don't," Cloud growled in a voice that rattled the tombstones of graves.
"Why Cloud Wolfic? Hmm, could it be that you are concerned she might abandon you." mocked the immoral man who stood in front of them.
"Oh, I would not worry about that....Maynor Wolferin!" now a taunting smile spread on Cloud's dry lips, a smile satan gave right before he was banished from Heaven. Damon's face became stern with eyes narrowed into slits, "You did not believe I would not recognize you, Maynor." Cloud declared.
"How?" Damon moved forward.
Faith took note of how Cloud's form stiffened at the movement, "The day you ambled in on us," Cloud chuckled darkly. Faith sucked in a breath. "You concealed your face with a spell however you failed to recall your heartbeats, so fast while your face remained tranquil. I had my suspicions but you proved them correct at the engagement ceremony, cousin." Cloud divulged in a serene voice that howled of holocaust.
A moment of silence unrolled its wings around them, the only sound that could be heard was the creek. Damon dropped his head then looked up, "It is all true, you are as acute as they say." with each word his face turned darker.
"Leave Maynor, before I erase you and your clan." the notorious assassin threatened, aversion observable in his eyes.
"I don't think so, let us uncurtain the reality to Faith. Let her know that we both are not quite human. Tell her the man who oaths to shields her is the one leading her to her death." Maynor exhaled.
