IT WAS ONE IN THE MORNING, AND RICKY IS STILL IN HER ROOM. They whisper to each other while they wait until her mom to go to sleep. Ricky yawns, "you damn better not fall asleep,"
"I'm sweepy," he says like a baby laying down on her bed cuddling Harry.
Her hands grasp the bear and tear it out of his hands, "not Harry!"
"I have to cuddle something," He smiles.
Dorothy panics for a second and bounces up from the bed, "I— I think she's asleep, now."
Ricky could feel she discomfort, but he wasn't going to push her, "ri-right," they tip toe down stairs quietly.
Dorothy goes out to the front step of the house with him. Impulsively, Ricky hugs her tightly and whispers, "thank you so much," with his cheek pressed against her head.
She tightly hugs back before unraveling their arms, "for what?" Dorothy smiles back at him.
His finger pushes back a piece of hair. "for being you," he kisses her passionately. "I love you,"
"What?"
"I," he kisses her, "love," another kiss, "you," his hand cups her cheek. She felt so... happy.
"Not clicking," she smiles through the kisses.
"I said wake up!" Ricky whisper screams. Dorothy's eyes wake up. The sky outside her window is bright.
Ricky is tired to laying down beside her on her bed, "shoot!" she springs up, "what time is it!"
"7:15,"
"Shit shit shit shit," she whispers rushing to get up. "why are you still here?"
"Because we fell asleep..."
"Yeah no shit!" she grabs clothes, "it's Monday, we have to go!"
While she's rushing around her room, Ricky just sits up from the bed casually. "Why in a rush, we're gonna be late either way."
"Get your ass up and change,"
"Change into what?" he sighs grasping her shoulders to make her stay still. "Look... lets just skip today,"
The girl scoffs, "we can't just skip class."
"We can and will, my dads out we'll stop by and I'll change. And," he smiles, "We'll go somewhere." He walks out of the room, "meet ya at the swings in ten!"

DOROTHY WALKS OVER TO THE SMALL PLAYGROUND NEAR THE CUL-DE-SAC. Ricky is swinging on one of the swings. She smiles going and sitting on the one next to him, "ya know, you could've just left and went to school."
"I didn't want to leave you here alone,"
"Or, you're a criminal."
She scoffs with a smile, "fuck off,"
His hands cover his surprised mouth, "No!" He laughs.
"shut up, I could just leave,"
"please don't," Ricky pushes out his bottom lip.
