"Oh how nice!" Mallika exclaimed seeing the intricate patterns on Naira's hand. They had hired one of the top henna artists for this marriage, and she was doing amazing! The only problem was...she was from South India and didn't fully understand hindi or english (guys pls go with it..it's going to be funny loll). But nevertheless, she was doing a great job so far, satisfying everyone with her work.

"Ok Mallika! Your turn!!" Naira said, as her hands were completed. Mallika sat down, put out her hands, and chose a design.

"Wait! I'm going to blindfold you so you can see the hands as a surprise at the end!" another friend exclaimed. Mallika nodded as permission and took on the blindfolds. Time was passing by slowly as the artist continued the designs. Everyone else left to go eat something. Suddenly Sumedh walked up to take a break from all the chaos and watch the henna art.

"Hmm not bad. You turned her hands all pretty!" Sumedh teased. Mallika immediately recognized the voice.

"Oh just get lost!"

"Okay then." Sumedh shrugged and left.

The henna artist suddenly stopped to ask a question. "Names? Any names want?"

Mallika was so confused by this question. What? I'm confused. Is she asking about the idiot's name? Why would she want to know his name in the first place?! Whatever.

"Uh, it's Sumedh." Mallika replied. After a while, Naira returned back and sat down carefully. She looked down at Mallika's hands and her eyes widened in shock. How did this happen?! Naira resisted every urge to burst out laughing.

"I done." the henna artist said as she leaned back in satisfaction to see her work. Mallika's blindfold was removed and she looked down at her hand in excitement. Her smile quickly disappeared as she saw Sumedh's name on her hand.

"What is this?!" she shouted. The henna artist's face drooped down in disappointment. Mallika, who noticed this, quickly changed her expression.

"Uh, it's lovely!" she faked a smile. "Thank you so much!" She quickly looked over to Naira, who quickly understood. The two of them got up and left the room.

"What is this?! When Sumedh came up behind me I thought she just wanted to know his name!! I didn't know she was going to WRITE THAT!!!! EWWWWW!!" Mallika exclaimed, nervous.

Suddenly they heard a voice. "Toofannn....Tooofaan! Tooofaaaannn!"

"Ughhh what does this idiot want at this time. If I go up to him, I'll die of embarrassment! Quickly run!" Mallika whispered to Naira. They both reached a safe place away from everyone else.

"Well...it's too late to try to wash it. It will show for sure. I don't see a point in doing that anyways because everything else will be smeared...I think you just have to leave it," Naira said, resisting the urge to laugh. Mallika groaned. "Ok ok forget that! Go eat it's really late and you're the only one who hasn't eaten yet. Maybe just try to hide your hand I guess."

Mallika stormed off to the food area, hunger filling up inside herself. When she got there, she slowly balanced an all-ready full plate on her forearms and took it to a table. She sat down and her mood lightened with the smell of the food. Just as she was about to put her hands in, she realized another problem Ughh how am I supposed to eat this nowwwww! She tried all options including putting her face in, but none of them worked except making her look like a fool. But suddenly, she heard laughter from the back. She turned around mad, saw who it was, and immediately hid her hands under the table.

"What do you WANT!?!?!?!" Mallika roared.

"Woah...someone's not in a good mood. I think you need food. Same page here, I haven't eaten yet either. I went out to call you but didn't see you."

Oh so that's why he was shouting like a dog earlier..."TOFAAAN"...ugh stupido.

"Hmm looks like you can't eat," Sumedh started.

"Well no duh! I'm starving! And this stupid henna--"

"Oooh can I see!?!"

"NO!!"

Sumedh was startled by this response. "Umm okay then...I was going to help you eat...but the situation doesn't seem welcoming to me...ok then I'm leaving!" He slowly started to walk away, expecting her to call back. He went one foot at a time, until he heard what he was waiting for.

"Wait..." Mallika said, reluctantly.

"What?"

"You can help I guess."

Sumedh smiled and turned around. He approached her table and sat across from her. He ripped a piece of the roti and dipped it in some curry. He looked up at her eyes for permission.

"Wait...by help you meant THIS?!" Mallika exclaimed. Sumedh sighed loudly. This girl...

"If you have any other option then tell me...meanwhile I'll sit there while you think na?"

"OK fine!"

Mallika opened her mouth and Sumedh put the small portion of food into her mouth--well almost. Just as Mallika was expecting to bite down on the food, Sumedh pulled his hand back, as Mallika bit down on cold air. She looked up angrily at Sumedh, to see him laughing. "Uggh I should have expected that you would have done something like this."

"Acha baba sorry. Here," Sumedh replied, and he put the small portion of food into her mouth. To get her revenge, as he placed the portion into her mouth, she bit down on his finger. A look of pain suddenly flashed across his face, as he hastily pulled his finger back towards himself. "Ouchhh. Yaar I said I was sorry."

Mallika just smirked and opened her mouth. This time he quickly placed the food inside and jerked his hand back. Mallika suddenly burst out laughing, almost choking on the food. Sumedh just gave her a stare but slowly his anger melted away, replacing it with laughter. Moments like these are what make me forget everything around me. There's just something about her...something I can't describe...that makes me more and more attracted.
