*Chapter Twenty-Two: Lingerie and Hotels*
"Beth. You're insane."
That was Abbie's advice for the doubts about Ty Beth had in her mind. "Abbie! That doesn't help me!"
"Dude, Ty is fucking in love with you. Do you see the way he looks at you? He's not going to cheat on you or leave you for some football groupie."
Beth groaned, putting her head in her hands. "I know he's not but... Wouldn't it be easier for him? To just date the girl that will put out and wants to go out to parties with you."
"Ty doesn't want that girl, shit face. He wants you."
Beth stayed silent for a minute, thinking out what she was going to say next. "Do you think I should... Have sex with Ty?"
"Whoa, what?" Abbie shrieked, standing up. "Again, are you crazy?"
"I mean, I love him and he loves me! Why shouldn't we?"
"Beth... Sex is a really important thing for most people. And if you want to do it, do it. But I know you. And you need to be absolutely positive that you want to do it..."
Abbie was right. Sex was important to Beth. Did she really think she was ready to do that with Ty? Well, she did love him. And he loved her. They had been best friends for so much longer than they were dating so she could trust him. "Yeah... I'm ready. I want to..."
"Well... Okay then! I think it's time for you to go shopping."
"Wait, what?" Abbie didn't answer, just pulled Beth out of her bed and into the car. She wouldn't answer all of her nagging questions. It wasn't until they pulled into the parking lot of the lingerie store that she realized what they were going. "Oh, no! Not happening! Abbie, bring us back right now!"
"Come on," Abbie laughed, "you're the one that wants this to be special. And hey, while we're here maybe I can get something for me and Parker too..."
"Ew!"
Abbie finally convinced Beth to come into the store, but Beth made it clear she did not want to buy anything. When they walked in, the girl working there smiled at them. She had short blue hair and a few piercings in her face. She looked completely the opposite of Beth, not only in looks but the fact that she was completely at ease despite being surrounded by all of that stuff. "Hey, can I help you guys with anything?" she asked, walking over to them.
Beth went to say no, when Abbie interrupted her. "Actually... My friend here, she's about as innocent as they come... She wants to lose her virginity with her sweet, caring, perfect boyfriend. Do you think you have anything for her?"
"Oh, for sure," the girl smiled, leading them around the store. Beth glared at Abbie before following her.
"So, these ones here could be used for more... Beginners..." the girl showed Beth the lingerie that looked sort of like dresses. "Damn... It's weird being in this section... I haven't worn anything this innocent in years... You're lucky if you have a sweet caring boyfriend. Hold onto that one," the girl laughed before going to help some other customers.
"Abbie," Beth groaned.
"Hey, you're the one that wants to do this. I'm just making sure it actually happens and that you don't wimp out."
"I really don't think that this matters... I mean, it's just going to get taken off in like a minute anyways..."
"Just try it. Come on, trust me, it'll make you feel great about yourself."
Beth groaned. "Fine! I'll try something."
"Good!"
It took almost an hour, but Abbie finally convinced Beth to buy something. It was a little pink dress with a corseted top. She also convinced her to buy thigh high fishnet leggings. "Ty is going to love you in this," Abbie said, her laugh sounding a bit evil. Beth flushed with embarrassment, quickly stepping into the car to avoid replying.
