Allie Campbell was a Geography student at the University of Greenwich, studying an extended course in physical Geography. The short, blonde girl had met her best friend whilst on the course. Monique Davis was a loud girl, the complete opposite of Allie and that's what made them so good for each other. Monique always made Allie step out of her comfort zone and that's exactly how sweet, quiet, little Allie Campbell ended up being almost pushed over the barricade inside of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It was the first game of the new season and Monique, being a football lover since her friend was part of the squad, had convinced her best friend to tag along. What the tanned girl forgot to mention to the more timid girl was the fact that they had front row seats. This often meant that when the home team scored, the fans behind them would push forward and being claustrophobic, this wasn't great for Allie.
When the full time whistle blew, Allie felt a wave of relief wash over her. The thought of curling up in her bed with a Disney film had never seemed so appealing but Monique had different ideas. The dark haired girl grabbed the hand of her blonde friend and lead her down a string of corridors until they approached a very muscular and very scary looking man guarding a door.
"Names?" His deep voice grumbled and Allie could swear that she felt the vibrations from his voice in the floor beneath her because his voice was so deep.
"Monique Davis, my close friend is Harry Winks." The cheekier of the two gave the security guard a beaming smile but he simply grunted as he allowed the two girls to go past him and as the two friends walked through the doorway, Allie realised that they were in the player's tunnel.
The tunnel was nothing that Allie expected. It was lighter than she expected it to be. She had this image in her head that the players' tunnel would be dark and cramped but the one at Spurs was the complete opposite.
"Oh my gosh, there you are!" Monique yelled loudly, catching the attention of several of the football players which earned the pair a few strange looks. The taller of the two girls ran over to a taller boy, leaving Allie behind. The blonde girl felt a bit insecure as she stood alone in the hallway, multiple men with their eyes on her. She wrapped her arms around her torso before she was called by Monique to meet the famous Harry Winks.
"Allie, this is Harry and Harry, this is Allie." Monique introduced the two to each other and Harry could swear this his heart stopped when he looked at the girl in front of him.
Allie Campbell had golden blonde locks and fair skin. She was short, barely making it above five foot. She didn't mind being short when she was with her closest friends but what she didn't like was the fact that her sisters were taller than her and almost all of her sister's partners were over six foot. It meant a lot of teasing for Allie.
"Nice to meet you." The blonde girl smiled at the football player, noticing how attractive he was.
Harry was blessed with thick eyebrows that framed his face perfectly. He had freckles scattered across his cheeks and his brown hair was complimented by his tanned skin tone.
"You too." Harry spoke and his voice shocked allie. His accent was not quite what the blonde girl expected and his voice was very attractive.
When Monique turned to look at her male friend, she realised that Harry had fallen head first for the smaller girl in front of him. Monique had known Harry for years and she knew him like the back of her hand considering that they used to date until she realised that she was in fact, gay. Harry had known for a while but didn't push the topic and that's exactly why the two stayed close after their breakup. Harry was one of the sweetest guys that Monique had ever come across and she knew that he would be the perfect boyfriend when his perfect girl came along.
"I was just saying to Harry that he should come round for some pizza or something to celebrate the win." The tanned girl smiled at her two friends, watching how they both had their eyes glued to each other.
"You were?" The London boy questioned, not being aware of this conversation that they supposedly had a few seconds ago. Monique gritted her teeth and forced a smile at Harry, telling him to just go along with what she was saying. Harry had absolutely no idea why he had to go along with this or what it was even for but he decided that his life would be easier if he just did as he was told.
"Oh yeah, it would be nice to catch up and maybe i can get to know you better?" The brunette boy stuttered over his words, not knowing what to say but somehow being able to string together a coherent sentence.
"Yeah, sounds good. As long as it's not pepperoni, you know that I hate pepperoni, Monique." Allie's face screwed up at the thought of her least favourite pizza topping that she had tried and Harry found it to be adorable.
"Not a big fan of pepperoni either to be honest." Harry laughed as he headed towards the changing rooms where he would have a quick shower and get changed out of his sweaty kit.
"I'll meet you at your flat. Is that okay?" The Winks boy questioned and Monique nodded her head before leaving him to do what he needed to do.
The tanned girl linked her arm with her best friend's and smiled smugly.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Allie questioned, an innocent look on her face as she was completely oblivious to the looks that Harry had been giving her in the tunnel.
"Oh, it's nothing, petal. You don't need to worry about a thing." Monique smiled down at her small friend. It was the truth. Allie had absolutely nothing to worry about because Monique would have it all under control.
