Start from the beginning

"Can't help it... who else got a mum like mine... hmm? You know, if you were young you would Surely be My girlfriend"

"And my boyfriend would have killed you!!!"

I laughed- Who "that" old man?

"Yup "that" old man" she said with a beautiful smile

"Now come down quickly" screamed my sweet yetb dead drop Gorgeous mother and went to her old man.

I stroll into the dining hall and guess who's already there, chilling at the table? Dad. He's just kicked back, probably scrolling through his phone or something

"Hi Dad," I said

"Hi son," he replied. We fist bump.

"Shit, I am late," said was about to run towards the door.

"Asher" my father called, the apple comes flying at me. Instinct kicked in and bam—I snagged it right out of the air, like some sort of fruit ninja. It was a pretty smooth catch if I do say so myself.

"And yes... Stop calling her sexy And stop flirting with your mom,  she is my woman for God's sake and finds yourself a girlfriend" he said while reading a newspaper.

"I can't help dad... mom is so sexy," I said while grinning.

"That I know... Last night your mom showed me how sexy, she is" said while looking at mum. He had that spark.

You know, every time I catch dad giving mom that look—the one that's all soft smiles and twinkly-eyed mischief—I can't help but feel a little envious. There's just this undeniable spark between them, even after all these years. It's like they've got their own secret language made up of grins and subtle winks. Man, I wish I could have that same kind of connection with someone special. It's like they've bottled up the magic of a lifetime and it's all in the way they glance at each other. Goals, right?

"ASHER AREN'T YOU LATE??" Mum yelled. God, she is embarrassed. I laugh and went out. Leaving them alone.

Whoops, totally spaced out on the time! I glanced at the watch and, yep, I'm late again. No time to waste, I grabbed my backpack, bolted out the door, hopped on my bike, and pedaled like mad to school. Fingers crossed I can sneak into class without too much of a fuss.

Ah, my dad's like one of those super busy bees, always buzzing with work, but he's got this magic trick where he flips the switch to 'chill mode' when he's with me and mum. It's like he's got an invisible cape for work and another one for family time. And let me tell you, he's usually Mr. Strict with his rules and all that, but when it's just us, he's as carefree as a kid on a summer break. Mum, on the other hand, she's got this huge heart, right? Loves us to bits, no questions asked. She's got this sweet, innocent vibe where she sees the good in everyone, but when it comes to me, she's convinced I'm the family rascal—the lovable 'bad boy', if you will. It's quite the combo at home.

At school

So, I finally got to campus, right? I quickly parked my bike, not even bothering to lock it properly, and dashed off to snag my schedule. I was huffing and puffing by the time I got to Mrs. Richard's office. She gave me this look, you know? Then, without skipping a beat, she hits me with the "you're late." Great start to the semester, huh?
