FIONA's POV

The tone of his voice made me uncomfortable, his question sounded like a pop quiz and he looked very concerned about my answer. I thought for a while then faked a good laugh

"You silly! You're a nice friend" I nudged his shoulder slightly and continued walking without taking a glance.

"Just that?" he jogged to catch up and I replied with a nod.

"We're besties, remember?" Louis held my hands and I let out a small gasp forcing a smile shortly

"Yeah... I almost forgot"

When we were close to the school building I gently pulled my hands away then he turned

"What's wrong?" he said in a soft tone. I raised my head staring back at his ocean blue eyes which looked dim

"I-I have to go home now... see you later" I waved and then boarded a cab quickly.

Weeks passed and I've been surviving real good in Dian High, it was a full Friday dedicated to sports so I just spent my day in the library. I went out to stretch my legs for a while but ran into our dance teacher on the way.

"Fiona I need you to help me with something urgent, find Louis Walter and tell him to come to the contemporary room, thanks" I was about to say something but he left. I haven't seen Louis all day now I had to move around the school to find him.

After less than an hour Dylan and Jack walked past me and I changed direction immediately "Hey you guys! Have you seen Louis?" both of them stared at themselves knowingly then smiled at me.

"Yeah, he's in the gym room," Jack replied. I paused to think about if it was a good idea to go or not.

"We're done with classes and have showered... don't think too much he's already dressed" Dylan smirked at his friend and they chuckled before leaving.

It was a good thing they left because my face was already burning with embarrassment, they created unnecessary imaginations in my head and I had to get rid of them.

The gymnasium room was large and white, equipped with machines like the treadmill, a corner was arranged for dumbbells and weights, there was also a big area filled with closed doors which I guessed was the bathroom.

I turned to the right and saw Louis seated shirtless with a dumbbell in his hand, he was so focused on it and didn't notice when I came in. My heart was thumping in my ribcage and I felt like going back.

I swallowed hard then began to creep slowly to him, the closer I got the weaker my legs grew, Louis' muscles flexed as he raised the dumbbell, it was larger than I expected.

My eyes narrowed to his broad chest then down to his eight abs, I pressed my lips to prevent them from dropping and cleared my throat to get his attention.

"Oh Fiona, what are you doing here?" Louis dropped the dumbbell by his side

"Mr. Jess needs you in the contemporary room"

"Oh yeah! I forgot" he bowed, barely rubbing the back of his neck. I recalled the gossip about 'the rippers' and stretched my neck a little but I didn't see anything on his back and supposed it would be on the left so I leaned forward but missed my step

"Woah there!" Louis firmly gripped my waist the quick action made my hands rest on his bare shoulders, I hyperventilated realizing how close our lips were and froze.

Louis stared into my eyes and I felt he could see right through me, he hesitated before gradually moving closer with his focus fixed on my lips at that moment my chest was about to burst open.

"You two look busy"

"Yeah Jack, maybe we should come back later"

We separated quickly and tried to act like nothing happened a few seconds ago. Instead of me being thankful to them for some reason I felt like slamming the door in their faces.

Louis cleared his throat "Mr. Jess needs us for the dance class, he's not feeling too good, c'mon Dylan let's go" he slipped into his shirt and walked away.

"Right behind you Lou"

"I'll stick with Fiona for a while... Louis, is that fine with you?" Louis nodded with turning then Jack smiled at me but I darted my eyes.

We shared an awkward moment then he spoke "Hey, let's watch them, shall we?" Jack pulled my hands until we got to the room, we made our way to the front.

I parted my lips and gasped lightly as I saw Louis in front of the dancers dressed in black joggers and oversized green shirts while Dylan was in between the lines flirting with the female dancers.

Louis' eyebrows ceased then his lips moved with his hands and soon everyone was back in position with Dylan beside him.

The loud music was muffled by the closed doors, then everyone watched as Louis and Dylan showed them the choreography again.

Their movement was fast and their bodies moved with ease. It was a short break dance performance and the cheers from the crowd expressed their love for it.

After a while I told Jack before going back to the library, when it was the break I packed my books and went to the cafeteria.

I was almost done with my lunch when a muscular black haired guy moved his shoulder lightly causing his black jacket to fall by my side then he turned

"Pick it" I didn't know who he was talking to so I just continued my meal then he raised his voice "Are you deaf? I said pick it!"

I gasped sharply then looked at him again to confirm if I was the one he was talking to.

"You better do what he says" a brown-haired guy by his right frowned.

"Except... you want to die" another guy with darker brown color by his left added. This conservation drew attention to us and people were circled but it didn't frighten me.

My eyebrows wrinkled "It's your jacket, I will do it if you say it politely" he laughed hard and the other two chuckled deeply.

He shoved me to the ground and pressed my legs with a foot making me yelp in pain

"Listen... I'm the one giving orders here"
