-Three and a Half Years Later-
The sun rose quite early that crisp and clear morning; or so did Omkara assume. He was laying down on his belly, still lazing around, smiling with his eyes closed as he recalled last night. With the way his wife of almost eight years had been so eager and hot in bed last night, leaving him drained with exhaustion, he had even asked her if she was pregnant again, earning him a smack on his behind.
Right now, Omkara felt the bed dip slightly as the comforter was slowly pulled off his naked back. Thankfully he was still wearing pants. "Hmmm" he moaned slightly, as he felt something wet against his back, followed by a sharp gust of air against his skin. "Mmmhh!" he breathed softly, when he felt the slow lick of a tongue up his spine. In the next second, he felt his ear being licked as rapid breaths fanned the side of his neck.
Omkara opened his eyes and turned around, only to scream in horror. "Ruhi, get your dog out of my bedroom!" he yelled. Gauri came running to the room when she heard him scream, and then looking at the two-year-old furry Golden Retriever hopping around on her beautiful floral sheets, she frowned. "Ruhi!" she shouted out to her tweenaged daughter.
Ruhi came running into the room with a frown. "Why are you both screaming?" she asked holding her hands away from herself, with her finger tips bright green; of course, she'd been painting in her room! "Get your dog away from my face!" "Get your dog off my sheets!" Omkara and Gauri said staring at her. She huffed, clicking her tongue, "Come on, Peanut! Let's go!" she said in a disinterested tone, and immediately the huge dog bounced off the bed, not before licking Omkara's cheek. "Yuck!" he said with his lips twisted, disgusted with the dog's drool all over him.
Omkara saw Gauri standing a few feet away and he smiled lazily at her. "Good morning, sugar baby!" he said with a grin, referring to their roleplay in bed last night. Gauri almost blushed, when he wiggled his finger at her, calling her to bed. "Don't even think about it. Not after Ruhi's adopted baby licked you all over." She said with her hands on her hips, staring at him. He cringed thinking about the way that overfriendly dog had licked his whole back, and shuddered.
It had been just three minutes since Ruhi had left the room, when she came back barging in. "Please tell your darling son to stay away from my paint stuff!" she said in annoyance. "Revaan is up?" Omkara asked cheerfully, while Gauri's expressions turned horrified, "Revaan is touching paint? What if he swallows some! Oh God!" she said and ran outside.
"Rooh, kya hua? What did Rey do now?" Omkara asked, knowing that the complaints would begin any time now. "Dada, I have my art competition coming up and I was practicing for it, and he came in the middle and started touching my paints. He even dipped his hand in the paint and tried to spoil the canvas by touching it. He knows I don't like it, phir bhi mujhe pareshaan karne ke liye, he keeps doing all this!" she finished with a frown.
Omkara tried to placate her, but that was when he could hear Revaan's screams from afar. Gauri carried him into the room, and Omkara was shocked to see his son looking like a miniature hulk with green paint all over him while he was still holding his sipper in his hands, which had also turned green. "Rooh, how many times have I asked you to keep your paint away from Rey's reach?" Gauri said, trying to hush her three-year-old baby boy, as he screamed louder remembering how his Mamma pulled the paintbrush from his hand. "Mamma, aap Rey ko bolo na meri paint se door rahe! I didn't take my stuff to him; he kept barging into my room to trouble me!" Gauri shook her head, trying to shush her unconsolably stubborn boy, "He's still small, Rooh! Tum toh samajhdaar ho!" "So? Why must I adjust all the time?" she asked back with a frowning huff.
Omkara could see the mother and daughter locking horns with each other, and he attempted to say something above his son's screams, when the panting dog came into the room and started barking. Listening to Peanut's barks, Revaan's screams turned louder, and Gauri had to literally sway him to and fro in an attempt to quieten him.
