Arya that’s not correct.” Draupadi argued as she took away the little bottle of spices out of Bheem’s hand, he looked down at his wife and sighed, “You know you’re wrong.” He said as he folded his arms on his chest, raising his brow at her, “And you know you are wrong.” She shot back; she met his gaze with hers. “Why are you so hardheaded? Wives are supposed to be sweet.” Bheem said, he wasn’t really serious, he was just teasing her but she glared at him, her eyes narrowing at him making him gulp. “So, you want another wife?!” she shouted accusingly, her eyes glaring at him making the great Vrikodar stammer. “No. No Panchaali…” his voice faded as he saw the angered look on her face, he gulped as they looked at his brothers, who had their heads lowered down looking at the scrolls in their hands.
The other pandavas who sat in the room pretending to read their scrolls bit their lips, trying to hold in the laughter that wanted to burst free. “Bhraata Bheem just dug his own grave.” Nakul said, his voice laced with laughter as his eyes twinkled with amusement. “A very deep grave that Panchaali would personally bury him in and then do tandav on.” Arjun’s words had everyone bursting into laughter, “So you all think this is funny?” She asked accusingly, their laughter died as Bheem smirked, glad that he wasn’t the only one suffering the wrath of their wife.
“Panchaali…” their voices faded as she glared at them, daring them to say something stupid. She picked prativindh up from the floor, where he sat playing and swiftly left the room. “What the hell just happen?” Sahadev asked confused as he looked around at his brothers, “Well we dug our grave along with bhraatashree so Panchaali is going to dance on our grave together.” Nakul said trying to lighten the mood but was instantly met with four glares, “Hey I was just kidding!” He called out but the others moved out of the room making him groan and follow.
“Panchaali…” Bheem called out as he entered her room, she sat on the floor with Prathivindh, smiling at him and helping him stand on his two little legs with support. She ignored him making the pandavas sigh, as they walked in. “Little butterfly.” Nakul called out with so much sweetness that almost had her melting but she sat firm not ready to give in, she wasn’t really angry, she could never be angry at them, she was just in the mood to make them sweat a little bit. “oh, come on Panchaali, you know we are not good at sweet talking with woman.” Arjun complained as he looked at her, and gave her his best puppy dog face, her heart melted and she almost smiled. However, at the right moment she bit her lip, turning her face away from him making him huff. “So Rajkumar Arjun are you indirectly saying that I am not a woman, because you surely use your sweet words on me.” She said, her voice laced with formalities making the pandavas wince, ouch, the grave indeed was deep. They thought as they looked at her.
“No priye, you are a woman, a very beautiful woman indeed.” Yudhisthir said, his words laced with honesty, she looked up at him and gave him a close-lipped smile that looked forced making him sigh, mentally she was laughing at her husbands. “Pranipat! Maharani the king Vaibhav is here.” A dasi said as she walked in with a smile on her face, the pandavas’ heart burned with the flame of jealousy as they watched a wide smile appear on her lips. She nodded and picked up her son and walked out of the room ignoring the five who sat with their mouths hanging open in shock, who was this man for whom she ignored them. They wondered as they walked out.
Panchaali smiled as she walked in with King Vaibhav, or Vaibhav as he insisted, she call him. He was a good friend of hers and had been busy with his work so finally that he was free he was here to meet her and her son. “Vaibhav meet my husbands …” before she could complete Vaibhav smiled and interrupted her, “Who doesn’t know Pandavas Panchi.” He smiled making her nod, the pandavas glared, jealousy rearing its ugly head as they glared at him. “Panchi?” Yudhisthir asked trying to sound normal, “oh yes, I call her Panchi since long back.” Vaibhav explained, “Won’t you show me your palace Panchi?” he asked making her nod, “Maharaj all the people are gathered for the meeting.” A soldier bowed before relaying the message. “Seems like the pandavas are busy, why don’t you show me around alone? I wouldn’t want them to abandon their work.” Vaibhav whispered, almost smiling at the jealousy he saw in the eyes of her husband, didn’t they know that he was her cousin? Her favorite brother? Maybe they didn’t, and by the looks of it his little sister was enjoying teasing them. “Ya I think we should leave them with their work.” Panchaali aid making the pandavas look at her with narrowed eyes, she was doing this to punish them and it was working.
