Lost lover

                                    

                                          
A djinn pops out of nowhere in a library that had been long forgotten. The library was said to gather the most forbidden knowledge as the centuries went on and right now the last living djinn needed some of that knowledge. He moves down the shelves of books till he finds the one he was looking for. 
                          
How to summon the lost
                          
He smiles as he opens the book and reads it outloud. Suddenly his old pirate crew appears before him and he laughs in delight before noticing his beloved was missing. 
                          
"Where is my beloved husband to be?" Nadakan asks the crew who bowed their heads sadly. "Mm sorry Captain they have passed to the departed realm." Flintlock said truly sorry for his Captain. Nadakan is deeply troubled by this for two reasons, the only person he ever loved is gone and no wishes would bring them back. And he had no one to wed to gain unlimited wishes with no rules or limitations. "Come we will celebrate our victory and mourn the loss of my sweet Daniel by striking terror into this realm!" Nadakan yells holding his sword in the air and his crew cheers.
                          
He teleports them all to his ship the misfortunes keep and sets a course for Ninjago city. The djinn quietly slipped into the cabin and took out his pocket watch looking at the picture in it and a single tear escaped his eye. It was of a young man with brunette spiked hair, amber eyes, tanned skin, and a pirates uniform on. "I will find you my love." He whispers, closing the picture. 
                          
The ninja had been having a calm day till they were told the city was under attack by a new group of pirates causing mindless destruction. Cole and Kai in particular were very annoyed with it because they had been planning on going on a date that afternoon. 
                          
"Aww I was going to cook." Cole whines and Kai laughs. "Well there's an upside." He snickers and his boyfriend pouts. They all put on their masks and headed off to the fight with a promise that they would reschedule. Lloyd and Nya were fighting some pirates trying to rob a jewelry store, Cole and Jay were in the midst of fighting a guy who knew spinjitzu like them, then lastly Zane and Kai were fighting off a really tall and buff woman and a metal monkey. There was a ship in the air where some of the pirates had begun retreating. The metal monkey had jumped on Kai's head and grabbed his mask, pulling it off. He was pretty ticked with the monkey so he picked up and threw it all the way back onto the ship. It landed on the ship and screeched at Nadakan pointing down at the battle below. Nadakan looks down and his heart skips a beat when he sees who he thinks is his beloved Daniel. But he knew this must just be someone who looked exactly like him, but he also didn't care. 
                          
He orders his crew back; they comply with the order, but not before seeing Kai who they all pointed and whispered at. Kai was standing with the others so they all thought they were pointing at them in general. Kai puts his hood back on and smiles. "Well that was easy, let's get back to the bounty." He said. "I recognize that ship from old history books. It's called the misfortunes kept by a deadly and powerful djinn." Zane explains to them as the ship disappeared above the clouds. "What's a djinn?" Jay asks. "Someone who could grant you three wishes, but not grant himself any wishes. He and his crew were lost to history years ago his fiancé Daniel was said to have died from heartbreak after being captured. No image provided." Zane explains to them. They all don't like the idea of some powerful djinn running amok. "Let's be on our guard if he's attacked then he must be up to no good." Lloyd suggests and the ninja all nodded their heads in agreement as they headed back to the bounty. 
                          
It was dark by the time they got back and they were all tired. "Lets hit the hay." Lloyd said with a yawn and everyone else nodded leaving to go to their rooms. Kai and Cole shared a bed and Kai flopped down on the bed only taking his shoes and socks off. "Aren't you going to get changed into your PJs?" Cole asks Kai who mumbles sleepily. "To tired sleep." Kai mutters and Cole laughs lovingly at his boyfriend. "Okay hot head I'm still going to brush my teeth." Cole said, leaving for the bathroom. He stops though just before he leaves the room and has a weird itch in his head telling him not to leave. He instead got changed into his black PJs and laid down in bed next to Kai who raised his head slightly. "Weren't you going to brush your teeth?" He asks. "I don't know why I just feel like you're being watched." Cole confesses with a shrug looking around the room. "Don't you mean we're being watched?" Kai asks with an eye roll. "No, I mean you call it boyfriend senses." Cole said with an innocent smile and Kai giggles. "You made that up." He said ruffling Cole's raven hair. "No it's totally real." Cole defends himself playfully.

"Is too...wait a minute!" Kai exclaims playfully hitting Cole's face with a pillow. 
                          
"Okay fine I'll give." Kai said, taking his pillow back from a laughing Cole as they both yawned in union. "Love you Kai night." Cole said as he drifted off to sleep. "Night Cole loves you too." Kai said back lovingly. As Kai drifted off to sleep out of habit Cole wrapped his arms around Kai's waist and pulled him in close. If the red ninja noticed he didn't make any move of protest as they both drifted off to sleep. 
                          
Cole was woken up though after about an hour of sleep had gone by when he realized his radiator of a boyfriend wasn't with him. He knew something wasn't right. He got up out of bed and opened the cracked door to their bedroom and saw a bunch of the pirates they fought earlier dragging his kicking and gagged boyfriend down the hallway. Cole quickly hit the alarm button as the lights came on and Kai looked relieved at the alarm blaring. All the ninja groggily got up rubbing their eyes and did not appreciate being woken up like this. Then they saw that the pirates were trying to kidnap Kai and they rushed to his aid. Some of the pirates broke off from the main group as the biggest of them hefted Kai who was still struggling in his bonds over her shoulder and started to run. The other pirates met the ninja in combat, but Cole pushed past them running after Kai. He followed them up to the front deck where he saw in time what he assumed was the djinn grabbing Kai from the giant lady. 
                          
Cole ran forward and jumped into spinjitzu but the djinn with Kai poofed away in a cloud of orange smoke along with the pirate lady. He looks around frantically when the djinn reappears without Kai. "Where is he!? What do you want with him!?" Cole asks the djinn who smiles at the black ninja's anger. "I just came to ask if you wanted to make a wish?" The djinn asks, but Cole knew the game that Nadakan was playing. "We did our research. I'm not making any wishes." Cole barks at the djinn. "Your Sensei wasn't as smart." Nadakan said, holding his sword out and Cole saw the faint image of master Wu and Garmadon asleep in it. "You trapped Kai in there!?" Cole yells at Nadakan. "Oh I have special plans for him." Nadakan said with a smile. Before Cole could ask what that meant Nadakan disappeared and Cole could hear the pirates below deck disappear with him. The ninja all ran above deck to find Cole staring up at the sky as a silent tear fell from his eye.
