DELANEY
~~~~~
"Let me the fuck in!"
"Miss Delaney?" he asked me and I nodded my head before he opened the front door. He led me inside.
There were men in the halls, staring at me as I walked into the living room. I shrieked in surprise when I saw the scene in front of me in the living room.
I put my hand over my mouth, not wanting to believe that Henry was lying lifeless on the floor with blood oozing from him. He seemed dead. "I am glad you could finally join us," I heard Alvaro's voice as he approached me.
"You killed him," I said, keeping my eyes on Henry on the floor. "He got on my nerves with his threats," he said, standing right behind my paralyzed self.
I was scared.
~~~~~
My step-daddy was his first victim.
A control freak was erased from the surface by another control freak. Nothing of Henry was left. His business was merged with his brother's — no longer under his name. His house was burned to ashes — just like him.
Now, am I going to be a victim of another drug lord?
I pale as I look at Despacito. "The one we ripped off? The one whose Lightning McQueen we demolished? And— "
"Could you be any louder? Just scream all the crimes we've committed against the crime lord out loud!" he cuts me off.
I bite my lip. "Why the hell did you let them take us?" I punch his arm in annoyance.
"Ouch! I thought they could help us since we made a few crime lords angry — but I didn't consider that one of them might be Despacito. Sorry!" He rubs his arm and looks at me with frustration.
"We have to get away before he wakes up," I tell him with a sigh. "How the hell do you want to get away?" he asks with a huff.
"We have armed men." He nods to the bodyguards. "A bounty hunter." He nods towards the clean man in suits. "And two drug lords here."He nods towards the Turtle and Despacito.
"We are screwed." I can't die yet. I still have to kill Mr. Nightmare.
"We might not be, relax. We saved the girl. That gives us some bonus points. They might just let us leave," Alex tries to calm me down.
"Did they say what they want from us?" I ask, biting my lip in anticipation. "My brother wants to know more about his daughter's savior." I jump and curse. The Turtle is literally breathing in my neck.
"What a sneaky Turtle. Are you always sneaking up on people?" I ask, turning around with my arms crossed and hoping he didn't hear what we just talked about.
"I am not sneaky, you are just so jumpy." He nods to the ice bag. "Give me my damn ice bag back."
I am in no mood to argue with him. "Freeze your last brain cells off." I throw the ice bag at his face. His jaw clenches. He looks mad. He surely has a short temper.
"That's not what she meant." Alex intervenes with a frantic smile. "If you have one." I smile sweetly.
Alex turns towards me. Generally, everyone is looking at me. The Turtle and I are now the center of attention.
His hand goes to his holster. "Uh-uh. Your brother wants her alive. And that's not how you show gratitude to the young woman who saved your niece."
"Yeah, show me a little gratitude, you little shit." My lips twitch up. Pissing him off is very entertaining.
