Sophie laughed as she played with Iggy, her pet imp. Her skin looked more pale as the soft sunlight reflected off it, and her hair seemed to be so smooth and gentle.

Her eyes, oh, the way her eyes glistned as she looked with Keefe with so much adoration, Keefe didn't need to be an empath to know that she loved him as much as he loved her.

"So, what brings you here?" Sophie asked as she sat on her bed.

"I missed you," Keefe felt his eyes tear up as he wrapped Sophie into such a tight hug, Sophie let out a little yelp.

Yet she laughed as she hugged back, snuggling into his warm embrace.

"Silly Sencen, I just saw you yesterday," Sophie ruffled his hair as their grip on each other loosen.

"Why are you even crying?" She laughed, and her voice was as soft as an angel, so gentle it felt like it could be blown like a feather.

"Foster, you have no idea why," Keefe choked on his words as Sophie squeezed his hands.

"Hey, what is it? You can always talk to me. I'll always be with you, Keefe." She reminded him, giving him the sweetest smile he could ever ask for.

Keefe smiled back, the salty tear slipping down his cheek. "Please, don't ever leave me," he begged.

"Why would I ever?" Sophie asked as she titled her head slightly, getting a better view of his face, which was not looking at her.

Keefe looked up, and the all too familiar gorgeous brown eyes stared deep into his ice blue ones, the soft glance promising and reassuring.

"Good, don't ever," he whispered as he leaned in, and he could feel her warm breath tickling his cheeks.

She leaned in closer, pressing her lips onto his, and Keefe clung on to every memory of that moment.

Suddenly, she started to fade.

As if she was starting to turn into glass, pieces of her floated as they turned into white petals, drifting off into the blue sky.

They held their kiss strong, salty tears adding into the mix as the last remaining of her turned into nothing that flower petals.

"You promised you won't," Keefe cried as he buried his face into his hands, the tears slipping free as the pain, not foreign anymore, started to fill his veins.

Every part of his bring ached.

Suffocating him.

Causing him to tense up.

He had to remind himself to breath.

As he did, his eyes snapped open, and he jumped up in shock.

He looked around him, noticing how Iggy curled up next to him, just like he he did with Sophie.

He then realised he had slept on Sophie's bed once again, feeling the need to grasp hold of every last presence of her.

But he knew, she wouldn't, and couldn't come back.

He just hoped, and hoped.

Wished and wished.

Upon every star, every being.

That he could bring her back.

Until then, it was all a dream.
