Adam lay awake in bed. He was extremely tiered. His mind wondered; soon he found himself thinking about the events that happened a year ago. How he had been harassed, and having to watch Lydia get married to a 100 year old guy.

Adam sat up in bed. Why was he thinking about that? "Maybe I just need some fresh air..." he mumbled as he stood up. he went down stairs and heard a strange noise coming from the porch. Music. It was music that he was hearing. The back door window was open; Adam looked through it.

He could see a tall striped figure with his back turned toward the door. His jacket laid on the railing beside him. He had green hair, and was about 5 and a half feet tall. He was holding... something. Adam opened the door.

The man turned around holding a small, striped ukulele. He stopped playing as soon as he saw Adam. "Oh! Hi, I was just- I'm just- I can't- I didn't mean-!" He struggled to find words, but Adam cut him off be for he could finish.

"BeetleJuice?" Adam questioned, "Why are you here?" He was still extremely tiered.

"I, look, I don't know, okay? I just... I just missed this place. I didn't mean to wake you, or bother you, or mess with you in any way. I just wanted to see you all again- See the the house I mean!" Beetle Juice corrected. He coughed.

"What did you say? Were you... watching us?!" A few hours earlier, Adam had heard foot steps below the attic, but just assumed it was Charles getting a sack or something. Did actually he hear BeetleJuice sneaking around?

"NO! Well, maybe. Not for long though! I just-" He was cut off once more by Adam.

"God, your still just as sick as you were last time!" Adam exclaimed.

"No, I'm not! I promise I'm not! Look, I just opened the door to see your face! Then I left! It was a really nice night, so I decided to play a little bit, then you came, and now this is happening, and I'm really sorry, I've changed, I really have! Hell is horrible, and the Nether World is horrible, and I just wanted to... to see you guys..." He rambled. It was hard to make out what he was saying.

"Wait... you... missed us? Why? I thought you couldn't feel emotions." Adam asked, looking confused. He was trying to decipher what Beetle Juice had jut said.

"Yeah, well, I lied. We can feel emotions. I don't want to feel emotions, because emotions are complicated and icky. Look, I'm really sorry. I'll go. You can just forget this happened. you can go back to being happy. " he said as he looked down at his feet. His ukulele vanished as he crossed his arms. Adam noticed that his hair was changing to a different color, a deep purple to be precise.

"O-Okay. Yeah. Let's do that." Adam turned back to the house, but stopped. he said, "Good-bye Beetle Juice." before going back through the door.

"Bye, Adam." Beetle Juice said, watching him leave. "I'll miss you..." he mumbled, barely audible. He snapped his fingers and was gone.

Beetle Juice reappeared in his apartment in Hell. He sat down on the couch and sighed. "Will that really be the last time I see him?"

"See who?" A girl said, floating though the wall. She had long back hair down to her waist, a long black dress, and pale skin. Her eyes were glassy; more like marbles made out of ice.

"Ah! oh god. Hazel, I don't need definitely you in my life right now." he groaned. He put his hands over his face and leaned back.

"Of course you don't. I'm just here to remind you how much of a disappointment you are. It's what your mother would have wanted. And hey, at least she's not here." Hazel said with a monotone voice.

"Don't you have someone else to bother?" Beej complained.

"Yeah. But you're my favorite. So easy to make feel insecure." She said with a smile.

"Flattering." Beetle complained, sarcastically.

Meanwhile, back with Adam...

Adam paced around the kitchen, breathing heavily. Sure, he didn't need to breathe, but he still did out of habit.

Was that really him? Was he Lying? UHHG! I NEED ANSWERS! Adam thought. I could summon him. I could ask him all of my questions. No, Adam. what's wrong with you? He hurt you. He's horrible, and he always will be. But he said he changed. But what if he was lying?

"Hey. What are you doing up?" Lydia asked, coming down the stairs.

"I should ask the same to you" Adam replied.

"Insomnia. How about you?" Lydia said, getting a glass of water.

Could I tell her? Yeah...Yeah! She's Lydia! She'll know what to do! he thought. "I... I saw Beetle Juice... on the porch..." He said hesitantly.

Lydia choked on her water. " cough cough WHAT?!?" She panicked.
