"I feel like the party was supposed to be a surprise." Y/N snickered, opening the door to her and Gallade's room.
'Gal Gallade Gal.' Gallade replied, making Y/N laugh out loud.
"Yes, I remember when she spoiled dad's surprise party." Y/N said in between giggles, plopping down on her bed that was a few feet away from Gallade's.
                          
As soon as Gallade's head hit the pillow of his bed, he was out like a light. Unfortunately, or fortunately in this situation, it wasn't the same for Y/N.
                          
The ex-champion pulled out her phone from her pocket or wherever she kept it and messaged both Leon and Raihan a short 'Good night, see you two soon <3' before tossing her other five pokemon's pokeballs from her other pocket, on her bed side table and asleep herself. If it wasn't for how exhausted Y/N was, she would've seen the quick 'I love you's from both boys before it was hastily deleted and replaced for a subtle 'Sleep well :)' from Leon and a 'Dream about me ;)' from Raihan. But thankfully she's missing the author's inability to make the story sound more exciting.


                          
'Gal Gallade!' Gallade exclaimed rigorously shaking Y/N awake.
"Hm?" Y/N mumbled, her eyes struggling to adjust to the bright light.
'Gallade Gal!' Gallade said, making Y/N instantly sit up in panic
"IT'S 9:10?!" Y/N basically screeched, running to grab the first few items of clothing she saw in her closet before running to the bathroom to quickly get ready.
                          
"Okay, let's go!" Y/N said about 10 minutes after she rushed to the bathroom, fully dressed as she walked out.
'Gal Gal' Gallade reminded Y/N as he walked down the stairs.
"Oh yeah, thanks!" Y/N replied, speed walking to her bedroom to get the pokeballs of her other five pokemon, which she carelessly threw on the bed side table before she passed out the night before.
                          
Y/N's faces shifted to one of confusion when she saw only Xerneas' pokeball on her bed side table. She picked up Xerneas' pokeball and hesitantly took it with her without attempting to find out the whereabouts of her other pokemon. Y/N closed the door to the room, and she walked down the stairs and out the front door to be meant with Gallade.
                          
The thought of the disappearance of her pokemon worried Y/N, and Gallade could tell something was up. Asking Y/N what was wrong, he lightly shook her arm.
'Gallade Gal?' Gallade asked, tilting his head.
"I'm fine buddy, your friends excluding Xerneas are well.. missing." She replied, sighing.
Gallade's eyes widened as he internally panicked.
"Hopefully they're with mom... Let's go!" Y/N said, grabbing Gallade by the arm and walking to the gym.
                          
They short walk to the gym wasn't so time consuming at all and Y/N and Gallade arrived at 9:30 sharp like they were asked to. Before Gallade could enter the gym, Y/N extended her arm in front of Gallade to stop him.
"In case it's a surprise, let's act shocked okay?" Y/N told Gallade, him nodding in reply before both he and Y/N entered together.
                          
It was pitch black when Y/N and Gallade entered. Normally it would be lively and overflowing with trainers waiting in anticipation to battle Valerie, but now it was silent and dark. Not even one of the girls who were normally seen rocking Valerie's designs were by the door or anywhere in the building at all.
                          
"So it is a surprise party." Y/N said under her breath, loud enough for only Gallade to hear her. Gallade nodded as they walked further in to the dark.
                          
"Hello? Anyone?!" Y/N yelled as she didn't even bother pulling out Xerneas' pokeball so it could light up the way for them.
                          
Before Gallade could call out to no one as well, all the lights opened and in front of Y/N and Gallade stood all the Kalos gym leaders, her mother, and her pokemon.
                          
"SURPRISE!!!!" They all yelled out with big smiles plastered on their faces. Y/N and Gallade feigned surprise as they jumped up as if they were actually surprised.
Meowstic, Umbreon, Tyrantrum, and Garchomp almost immediately, ran to engulf Y/N and Gallade in a hug.
"Hey, guys!" Y/N exclaimed, reciprocating their hugs.
"Where were you four?" Y/N asked, looking at her other four pokemon with one of her eyebrows arched.
'Garchomp Gar' Garchomp replied, turning around to glance at Y/N's mother who simply waved at Y/N with a wink. Y/N shook here head with a smile as she knew her mother's antics.
