"So you actually like me too??" Gen shouted and jumped back as if he had just seen a jumpscare.
"Damn it no need to announce it to the whole world" Senku looked visibly annoyed but was subconsciously satisfied. "If I have to believe you, then I might as well go all in"
"Aww look at you having feelings for me too Senku-chan~"
"Don't get your hopes up, mentalist. I already said there's no time for this. We have a lot of work to do and we can't let some relationship distract us"
"Yes yes... Stop sounding like a video game character" Gen laughed out loud. "I think we should still try it though.. maybe suppressing it will be even worse, who knows~"
Senku got tired of the back and forth and decided to give in. "Fine, let's go out then. But if it affects your performance I'll have to break it off, I need a good sla- I mean worker after all" he laughed, his ego getting bigger.
"Sure, as if it won't affect you more~" Gen challenged him.
"I'm a man of science, don't underestimate me" Senku smirked. "I'm going to sleep now I'm dying" he said while laying down and getting in a comfortable position.
Gen was genuinely shocked. "What?? You just casually asked me out and now you're sleeping??"
"There is lots of free labour to do downstairs if you're not tired" Senku complained while trying to sleep.
"You're not funny..."
"Who said I was joking? Now go to sleep"
"At least a hug??" Gen retried "Senku-chan??~" 
As there was no more reply from him, Gen glanced over and realised he was actually sleeping. "Jeez this guy is impossible" he whispered under his breath. He smiled softly and scooted over, hugging Senku from behind and falling asleep.
