XXVIII- "How Do You Feel?"

                                    

                                          
Kaia's POV 
                          
It's been exactly a minute since I told Xavier I thought that I was pregnant. He's just been staring at me. And I've been counting in my head to 60. 
                          
"X I'm not sure that's why I didn't wanna tell you because I haven't even taken a test." I reached out and brought his head to mine. 
                          
He simply nodded. 
                          
"Oh God... I ruined tonight didn't I?" I sighed and stood up. 
                          
He simply shook his head. 
                          
"Xavier. Look at me." He slowly lifted his head. I have never seen him this way. 
                          
"How do you feel?" 
                          
"I'm- I mean- I- well." 
                          
"Nothing is set in stone." I hoped to reassure him and myself. 
                          
"Kai, I thought you were on birth control. And even if you weren't we still always use condoms." He stood alongside me. 
                          
"I know, but I've been throwing up every morning after you leave. And I'm 4 weeks late."
                          
 He nodded his head.  
                          
"Talk to me Xavy, what are you thinking." He started pacing, and he only does that when he was really worried. 
                          
"I'm just processing... I'm shocked. But I'm not worried." He scratched his head and stood still. 
                          
"I'm not worried though. If you're pregnant then we'd be mommy and daddy. Then I'll cry because I'd love the two of you so much. And I'll buy every book I possibly can and find out everything there is to know." I smiled as hard as I could allow myself. 
                          
He was always dedicated and managed to surprise me with his reactions. I mean the situation wouldn't be ideal at all. And I found myself fantasizing about a little family with Xavier. I started thinking about the amazing father he'd be. And how much we would love our little one. 
                          
But I then remembered... nothing was set in stone. 
                          
Xavier POV
                          
Pregnant. Kaia pregnant... Maybe. 
                          
"Wanna hear something funny." She nodded. 
                          
"Lydia told me she was pregnant today too." Her face lit up. 
                          
"That's so great. I was talking with her the other day and she told me her and her husband were trying for one an-" She cut herself off. 
                          
"But... Xavier we don't know if I am." I nodded. 
                          
She was right we didn't know. But it seems that I allowed myself to get used to the idea. We were young... no doubt but Kai wasn't a one night stand. Nor a girl I was just dating because I was bored. I loved her. And had every intention of giving her my last name. 
                          
"Well let's go find out." I was now more anxious than ever.  
                          
"Like right now?" She tilted her head. 
                          
"Yeah... let's buy a test." She nodded in agreement.
