As Y/N and Umeji walked to school together, they couldn't help but notice the major lift in the atmosphere. Now that the true murderer was caught and the drama club was back in season, it seemed that many people resumed back to their normal every-day activities.

"Next stop: hell" announced Y/N, waving her hands dramatically in front of her. Umeji grinned from his place next to her and shook his head at the girl's behaviour. She truly was the only person who could make him smile so much and he found himself falling more and more for her every day.

"Sure thing" he chuckled, moving to wrap his arm around her shoulders. Y/N jumped from surprise and playfully elbowed the blonde in the chest.

"Hey! Don't scare me like that" she protested, causing Umeji to stick his tongue out at her. However, just as he was about to retort, an unfamiliar voice caught the pairs attention.

"Y/N-san!" someone yelled, as they heard footsteps approaching them steadily. Y/N and Umeji turned around and were surprised to see none other than Kizana Shinobu, the girl that was granted freedom only a few days ago. The purple-haired girl painted from having to run up to them but quickly straightened up to face them.

"Y/N-san, thank you. I owe you my freedom" Kizana spoke, bowing slightly before the H/C-haired girl. Y/N's eyes widened slightly, but gradually she stood forward and placed a hand on Kizana's shoulder.

"You don't owe me anything Kizana. It did it because it was the right thing to do" Y/N spoke in a tone that indicated she was sure. The purple-haired haired girl looked up at Y/N with teary eyes and swiftly brought her into a tight hug.

"Thank you" she said yet again. Y/N stiffened slightly from the physical contact, but soon relaxed and tenderly wrapped her arms around her.

"No problem" she said, "just promise not to trust people so easily in the future."

Kizana nodded briskly as she tried to wipe her eyes dry of tears, and stood up straight with a bright smile.

"Of course Y/N-san. I shall look out for potential threats in the future" Kizana saluted, causing the H/C-haired girl to snort slightly at her dramatic manner of speech.

"Okay then Kizana-chan. See you around."

Without further ado, Y/N and Umeji walked into the school together and parted ways to go to their respective lockers. During this time, a number if students approached her, either to compliment her on her bravery or to congratulate her. Either way, all conversations turned out to be pleasant. It almost seemed as though her previous reputation was scrapped and a new, better slate replaced it.

Y/N turned the corner and her lips pulled up into a smile at the sight of her boyfriend talking to their fellow delinquents. It was such a relief on her behalf that all of them were allowed to remain at school.

Umeji turned to Y/N with a crafty smirk on his face and waved her over. The H/C-haired girl shook her head, before striding over to where they were standing. She noticed that as she walked some people naturally avoided her path, causing the girl to raise her eyebrows at them.

It seemed that her previous assumption was incorrect. Perhaps people were still wary of her...

However, Y/N's mood instantly lightened up once she met Umeji's eyes and a memory surged through her mind.

'Whether we fear others or are feared ourselves, it doesn't matter because you are still the same incredible person to me.'
