2. 𝐁𝐮𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐚

Location: Cafeteria 
                          
Yuqi made her way to the cafeteria alone. She didn't imagine her past to follow her till here. She heard people gossiping about her all day and she was hoping to have some peaceful time eating in the cafeteria. 
                          
Before even entering, someone talking loudly said, "Well, anyway, whether it's because of her ex or business, she's still a fool for coming here!"
                          
She entered and everything went silent.
                          
So they were all talking about me? 
                          
She kept her head down as she went to buy her lunch. It was just a matter of seconds for the place to become noisy again. 
                          
Yuqi looked around for an empty table but every single one of them looked full. She then noticed the girl she fell on earlier eating alone and the first year naturally walked in her direction. Some of the other students stopped eating to look at her. 
                          
Ignore them. 
                          
"Hey, can I sit with you? The rest of the tables are full."
                          
The cafeteria fell silent again. Yuqi could feel the gaze of everyone on her and she guessed that no one ate with this girl before or even dared to ask. 
                          
"Sure," Miyeon said before gesturing for the younger to sit down. 
                          
"Wait but she never let anyone have lunch with her except her clan," someone said in the distance. Miyeon was indifferent to the comments the other people in the cafeteria were passing. 
                          
"It's the second time I see you today. That's funny," the elder said quietly before putting a fork full of noodles in her mouth. 
                          
Yuqi somewhat found it amusing.  
                          
"Tell me, are you popular here?"
                          
"Let's just say that I'm greatly respected."
                          
They both smiled and continued eating in silence. 
                          
"Listen, they gossip a lot but don't let it affect you. Once they find a new topic to gossip on, they'll forget about you. You can eat with me everyday if you want."
                          
Yuqi was surprised, by the fact that someone she barely met and barely talked to was inviting her to have a meal with her everyday. She didn't have the time to thank the elder when the latter left for her next class. 
                          
She's nice.

Time: 16:30
Location: Bubble tea shop
                          
"Yuqi~ah! You did well for your first day!" She told herself before putting on her new part time job's uniform.  It was basically just a white apron that she weared on her a light pink sleeved buttoned shirt. 
                          
She was in the shop alone, waiting for her mentor or the only night employee that worked here.
                          
Well, at least, whoever it is, he or she won't be alone anymore. 
                          
She couldn't help but think about Miyeon. Yuqi pictured her in her mind when she helped her up this morning. The elder had been wearing a light brown shirt and jeans and she was really pretty. She also gave off rich girl vibes and Yuqi could understand why everyone in the university respected her. Her gaze was intimidating and something told Yuqi that her new friend wasn't someone to mess up with.
                          
"She's alluring," she said louder than she meant. 
                          
"Who are you talking about?"
                          
Yuqi turned around violently in surprise and saw Miyeon in the same uniform as her. Her jaw dropped at how perfectly the clothes were lining up the curves of Miyeon's body. 
                          
"Yuqi?"
                          
"Yes?" 
                          
"Seal your lips, a fly might go in there"
                          
Yuqi felt like she's been woken up from a dream. Frustration got all over her and she did her best in not panicking. 
                          
"Let's get to work, shall we?"

Time: 17:08
Location: Bubble tea shop
                          
"See, it's simple. Ice, flavoured tea or milk, sugar, water, pops, machine. Just keep up with the order," Miyeon explained to Yuqi. 
                          
The younger tried to follow the steps given to her. She waited for the machine to give her plastic-covered medium cup  bubbletea and Miyeon gave her a straw.
                          
Yuqi gulped and slowly pierced the plastic cover with her vibrant red straw. She took a sip and then another until she finished the whole cup. 
                          
"Was it good?" Miyeon asked her when she was done. 
                          
"It was delicious! I loved it!"
                          
"Nice, now you will have to do that for the clients alongside with me." 
                          
They both smiled and Miyeon opened the shop. Soon, clients started to get in and they started to work. 
                          
It went on like this until 9 pm. Closing time wouldn't be before 10 but there was no clients at all. Surprisingly, Miyeon sat down, got her phone out and gestured Yuqi to sit next to her. 
                          
The younger did as she was told and Miyeon showed her a picture of her old home. 
                          
"This is where my parents live now. I moved in an apartment not far from here......"
                          
And that's how they started their first concrete conversation. 
                          
"Let me tell you about me. I'm from Beijing. As you may have heard, I left everything there to come here. Why? Well, there are two reasons. One, I didn't want to be the perfect picture that my parents already imagined in their heads and become a politician just like them and two...."
                          
Can I trust her with this? 
                          
Her eyes searched for Miyeon's and when they met, Yuqi felt a reassuring feeling flooding in her body. 
                          
".....I like girls"
                          
Miyeon broke the eye contact they had and laughed. The younger's face was still the same as it was. 
                          
"You like girls? That's nothing to be ashamed of, baby!" 
                          
Yuqi felt a chill going down her spine and blushed. 
                          
Baby? 
                          
Miyeon's laughs kept on getting louder and Yuqi joined in as well.
                          
It was 10 pm when they both closed the shop and went back home. 
                          
"I am going to the university's campus, goodnight!"
                          
"Come to my apartment tomorrow!"
                          
"Will do!"

Location: Campus
                          
Yuqi fell on her bed. Luckily, she didn't have any roommate, so she could do anything without anyone complaining. 
                          
She felt herself slowly drifting to sleep. 
                          
Miyeon.....pretty.....bubbletea.......new friend.....I can't wait to go back to school tomorrow......
                          
But she didn't know that a big surprise was waiting for her on the next day.
