Chapter Twenty Two:Blue Skies

                                    

                                          
I walked over and got in the car and then my dad got in. We left we got back home and when we got out of the car another one pulled up then 2 cop cars pulled up. Then my grandma got out my mothers mom got out and the officers followed her to us. 
                          
Dre:whats going on
                          
Grandma:I'm here for my grandbaby 
                          
Colson:what?

                          
Police Officer:Mr.Baker your here by served
                          
He handed dad papers. 
                          
Ashleigh:For what
                          
Police Officer:Being an unfit parent and Josie will have to come with us. 
                          
Colson:Over my dead body
                          
Ashleigh read it. 
                          
Police Officer:Lets go
                          
He grabbed my arm and started pulling me away the guys held dad back and the officer pulled me back and put me in the car and I screamed and pounded on the window. As we got further and further from my family. 
                          
~1 Month Later~
                          
For a month I've been in foster care as my father and Meredith my mothers mother fought for me. I woke up to screaming. My foster 'father' darren was yelling at the other kids. I got up I shared a room with 3 others girls. I got up and grabbed my clothes from a trash bag and walked out and into the bathroom. I changed and walked out. 
                          
Darren:Josette get in the kitchen and start making breakfast for everyone
                          
I turned to the room to put my clothes back and he hit me in the face. 
                          
Darren:I said get in the kitchen why dont you listen!
                          
One of the younger kids elizabeth came out of her room. 
                          
Darren:Hey! Get clothes on now!
                          
She started crying cause he has a very loud voice and he started walking down the hall to go after her and I opened the hall closet and I grabbed the bat and I hit him over the head with it. He hit the ground and his wife karen came upstairs. 
                          
Karen:What the hell did you do!
                          
I dropped the bat. 
                          
Karen:Get your s**t your leaving now!
                          
I went in the room stuffing my clothes in the trash bag and I picked it up she called the social worker and I was taken to the facility. In a room where 'kids cool down' and I passed out on the plastic bench. I was woken up by a worker. 
                          
Worker:Josette
                          
Me:mmm
                          
I sat up looking at her. 
                          
Worker:Its time to go
                          
Me:Go?
                          
Worker:Home its time to go home
                          
Me:Home? To my dad
                          
Worker:Yes
                          
I haven't seen him or any of my family since the funeral. We got in a car and I stared at the passing ohio city with familiar blue skies. We got to cleveland and it was dark when we pulled into the driveway. I saw the door opened and everyone walk out. I didn't even wait for her to park. I flipped the lock and I hopped out. I've never ran so fast in my life I ran and I jumped on my dad he wrapped his arms around me. 
                          
Colson:*smiles* I missed you so much
                          
Me:I missed you too
                          
He set me down and everyone hugged me and the door opened.
