Its been a month since that great day. The day we took the barrier down.
I stood on the balcony of my new dorm room and watched the sun rise next to the isle. It looked beautiful.
I turned around when Nicole shuffled into my room with a blanket and her bear.
"Hey Nic. What are you doing here?" I asked and held out my arms for her.
She hugged me as I lifted her up.
"I kept waking up." She whined.
I laughed lightly and pointed to the sunrise.
"Look. Isn't that pretty?" I asked.
She looked at it in awe.
"Wow. Its so pretty." Nicole awed and stared at it.
