All the interested parties, as in all the people that were nosy enough to ask, have been informed and made aware that Ohm and Fluke will be having dinner together that weekend.
Ohm was about to ask if Kao and Earth would mind looking after Del for one night. However, he could not even bring it up when Earth took the initiative and said that he'll take care of Del throughout the weekend, with the excuse that Del hasn't been spending much time with him. Knowing his true intentions, Ohm felt even more indebted to his friends.
Mild, sadly could not be kept out of the loop even if he wanted to be excluded as Fluke would be calling and messaging him every hour with questions on absolutely the most randomest and bizarre topics. Like why would the topic of 'favourite Lays chips flavour' be brought up?!
Finally, the awaited hour would be arriving soon. Ohm and Fluke had agreed to meet at a certain mall beforehand and they would walk to the restaurant together. Ohm had wanted to pick Fluke up from his condominium but in hindsight, Fluke might not be comfortable disclosing his address so this was the next best thing.
Even though he was technically 20 minutes early, Ohm was already standing in wait at the mall's entrance, looking incredibly handsome in his black dress shirt and white pants, while holding a bouquet in his arms.
Ohm was starting to worry whether he was too eager by being so early but not even 5 minutes later, a smaller man in a pink sweater and white pants was seen slowly jogging up to him. The moment the two men met eyes, the smaller man quickened his steps.
"Khun Ohm! I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. Have you been waiting long? Did I get the time wrong...."
Fluke was really flustered seeing that Ohm had already arrived ahead of him but Ohm could honestly say that seeing Fluke at that moment, his breath was taken away. Seeing how Fluke was growing anxious, Ohm chuckled and explained himself,
"You have nothing to worry about Khun Fluke. I was early, you are not at fault,"
Fluke took a visible sigh of relief.
"But since neither of us are at work, maybe we can just speak casually? You can call me Phi Ohm, instead of Khun."
In an instant, anxiety has re-entered Fluke's chatroom.
"Phi...... Ohm......"
Fluke lowered his head with every syllable as if slowly enunciating a foreign language and Ohm mirrored his movements. Once satisfied with his reply, Ohm grinned. It was then he remembered the bouquet in his arms.
"Here, this is for you... I hope you like white and blue roses."
Ohm sheepishly hands the bouquet over.
"Thank you so much! Blue is my favourite colour!"
Once again, Fluke was touched by the gesture and showed his sweetest smile that immediately attacked Ohm through the heart.
"What a coincidence! It's my favourite colour too."
Just like that, the conversations between the two of them flowed as easily as water going down a stream. They have only been talking to each other online for a couple of months and it is their first time having face-to-face conversations that weren't about Del but they seemed to be doing well.
The two of them made their way to a cafe that Ohm's childhood friend owned and Ohm personally guaranteed that the food was delicious. This also meant that the two men were subjected to a small amount of teasing but soon after, they were shown to their seats.
It was a corner booth that had access to the view and it was very private and quite romantic. If anyone cared to observe, they would have seen that the conversation never seemed to cease throughout the entire dinner and it looked like the two men really enjoyed each other's company.
"So, you said that one of your hobbies was cooking? What type of cuisine?"
"Well, my mother owns a Thai restaurant in LA and growing up, I have always been by her side either watching her cook Thai dishes and once I was old enough, she'd let me help."
"Oh, well if you like to cook, why not be a chef and open your own restaurant?"
"That was one of my ambitions as a child but it seemed that my love for children overpowered that ambition. So, I keep it as a hobby. Maybe I'll be a chef in my next life, hahaha. How about you? Have you always wanted to start a business?"
"I guess you can say that. My father was the one that founded it and I wanted to keep it going as a form of his legacy.."
It seemed strange but the two of them had no problem carrying a conversation even though it was their first time having a meal together. It was as if they had known each other their entire lives.

As the night was still young, the couple decided to visit the attractions nearby. Fortunately, there was an aquarium and Fluke was more than excited to go in. Aside from children, sea creatures were another soft spot for Fluke. Ohm was simply entertained by Fluke's enthusiasm. He tried to discreetly take pictures of Fluke but his ninja skills may not be up to par as Fluke was able to catch him red-handed.
That led to Fluke blushing in embarrassment as he whined,
"Phi Ohmmmm"
Ohm's heart was fluttering, hearing Fluke's voice call his name but that didn't stop him from taking more pictures of Fluke.
As they walked around the different exhibitions, they began talking about the variety of sea creatures on display and random sea folklores that they recall from their childhood.
Fluke appeared to be more comfortable around Ohm as he was more talkative and Ohm could no longer keep track of the number of times he had thought that Fluke was cute. At this point of the night, it may have already reached the hundreds.
Soon, they found themselves in front of the smaller exhibits and with less space, there were fewer people and at this point in the date, the couple were standing quite close to one another. The couple were still in the midst of a conversation but once in a while, their eyes strayed to the other's lips for a second or two.
As they were nearing the exits, however, a group of children decided to bolt past them, conveniently pushing Fluke into Ohm's arms, for him to catch. Time seemed to have stopped for the couple as they stood rooted in that position, eyes occasionally going from each other's eyes to each other's lips.
It seemed like Ohm was waiting. He looked into Fluke's eyes, asking for permission, asking whether it would be alright for him.... And as a form of reply, Fluke fluttered his eyes closed as Ohm leaned in...

I hope my writing, though subpar, has entertained you for a while. Honestly, quarantine has me at my wits as I'm getting super bored at home.
