'Another day, another dollar' You thought to yourself as you stood behind the counter at the cafe again. You were hoping that the guy from yesterday would come in again. You had spent all day looking around the college campus for him but you had no luck. Where else would you have known him from though?

15 minutes until closing. You couldn't wait to get out of there. You started cleaning the tables as you heard the bell ring. You sighed. You hated when people came in while you were cleaning.

You walk back behind the counter and look up. It was the boy from yesterday. He was alone again.

"Hello, welcome to Daisy's Cafè, what can I get you?" You ask.

"An iced coffee and a chocolate muffin." He repeats from the day before.

"$6.00." You say.

He hands you the money and then puts a tip in the tip jar.

You make his drink and put the muffin in the bag before handing him both items. "Have a nice day."

"Thanks, you too." He says and walks outside to the same table he was at yesterday.

You kept stealing glances at him and nothing has changed from the day before. You watched as he sat there and just stared at nothing while picking at his muffin again.

You finish cleaning after a while and check the tip jar. Another $100 bill. You look up and see that he's still there so you rush to lock up and you walk up to the table.

"Hi." You awkwardly say.

"Hi." He says back crumpling up his muffin wrapper.

"I'm Kaitlyn." You introduce yourself.

"I'm Luke." He says.

You sit down across from him and he looks at you confused.

"I just wanted to thank you for the tips you've been leaving. $100 is a lot." You say.

"It's not problem. Doesn't really make a dent in my bank account." He shrugs.

You nod. "I hope you enjoy the items you get. They are made fresh everyday."

"They are great." He says.

"Thank you, i'm sure the owner would love to hear that." You smile.

He smiles back and finishes his iced coffee.

"Where are you from?" You ask. "You have a nice accent."

"Australia." He answers.

"Oh cool, I've always wanted to go there." You tell him.

"Maybe i'll have to take you there one day." He smiles.

"I would love that." You smile back.

"Would you like to go out sometime?" He asks.

"Sure. When?" You ask.

"Tonight at 8:30?" He asks.

"Sure." You say.

He slides you a piece of paper with his number on it and you smile before parting ways.

Luke smiles as he walks back to his hotel. He wasn't completely sure that he was ready to start dating again after his past two brutal relationships but when he saw you he couldn't help but think about you nonstop. He knew from your reaction that you had no idea who he was. Well maybe you did. For all he knew you could have been playing stupid just to get in his pants. A lot of girls do that to him. All he knew was that he was tired of it and he swore to himself that he wouldn't have anymore one night stands. He was going to wait until he fell in love.
