Tyler carries Rain out of the room. Daniel stays behind though. He stands in the doorway, his arms are folded over his chest, waiting for an explanation from us. Yes, while Hunter is the Alpha, he knows that he has done wrong by growling at Rain.
"I'm sorry, Daniel," Hunter apologizes. "We were fighting."
"Well get it together when you're at the packhouse," he orders, I knew Hunter's wolf won't like that, but it seems like Hunter was just going to take it. "I can't believe you would fall off the wagon."
"What?" I ask confused. I was so angry, I guess I hadn't noticed the spell of alcohol.
"Goddess, Hunter, I thought you were over this," Daniel lectures him in a hushed voice. "You scared Rain! You growled at her! You know she's sensitive after living in that home."
"I know, I'm done with it."
"Good, day one starts tomorrow," he reminds Hunter before leaving.
"Drinking?" I ask with teary eyes.
He sighs deeply. "I'm sorry."
"I don't know how to proceed," I admit, going back to sit on the bed. Now that I noticed it, I could smell his scent and whiskey around the room. I look to see the desk has a half-drunk bottle of whiskey.
"We can talk more tomorrow, Daniel was always big about not talking after I had been drinking," he sits on the bed as well, but very far from me.
"I'm sorry if I would have come to talk sooner..." I start.
"No one is responsible for my drinking but me," he recites. "First thing they teach you in AA. I was drinking the minute I got in this room."
We sit in silence, neither one knowing what to say or wanting to speak. Soon we both silently get ready for bed and get into bed. He stayed far away from me, even though we were sharing a bed again.

I wake up first, smelling the whiskey still on my breathe. I quickly get up to shower and get ready. Wanting desperately to wash off every sign of last night. The shame and alcohol reek on me. When I finally get out of the shower, Lee was sitting on the bed, waiting to shower in the on-suite.
