Part 18: Problems

                                    

                                          
Beth POV still 
                          
"It's Rio ain't it?" She asked as she looked at me and bit her nails. 
                          
"Ha! Yeah like Beth would have sex with him after all the shit he has done" Ruby said laughing. Her laughter slowly died down when she realized me and Annie were just staring at each other and my face was a little red. 
                          
"Heh yeah obviously it's not him" I said scoffing. 
                          
"Oh my god" they both said in unison.
                          
"You had sex with Rio!" Ruby said a little loudly. 
                          
"Shhhh!" I shushed her looking around to see if anyone heard. 
                          
"I knew it!" Annie said. 
                          
"Are you crazy?! Like seriously Beth are you insane!?" Ruby asked still a little shocked 
                          
"Ok ok look I know it's not...ideal but trust me it's real! Ok! We actually...connected" Ruby scoffed when I said that. 
                          
"Yeah ideal my ass you have officially lost it Beth! The first time was ok because it was just a little fling but now you're  attached!" Annie said quickly. 
                          
"Wait hold up... first time? You knew this has happened before?" Ruby said looking over at Annie. Annie nodded and looked back at Beth. 
                          
"Look guys don't judge me on this ok! I didn't think this would happen either but I left a date with Dean last night and he was there and I don't know things just kind of happened and I was at his place and we were talking and he started to really open up!" I said seriously 
                          
"Hmm" Was all Ruby replies with looking at me still a little shock on her expression.
                          
"Well I think it's great because now that you're sleeping with him it will be sooo much easier to cut him out of our lives and be done with helping him" Annie said sarcastically smirking. 
                          
I just rolled my eyes. " yeah well at least I didn't sleep with my ex boyfriend who is married and had a baby on the way" I whipped back 
                          
"Immm pretty sure this is worse than that Beth!" Annie said in a mocking tone. 
                          
"Guys chill" Ruby intersected. 
                          
Our food then came and we all ate mainly in silence. 
                          
"He said he would call me but he hasn't yet." I said quietly as I continued to eat. 
                          
"He's probably out killing someone or making a bunch of money" Annie said with a mouthful 
                          
I just looked up at her with a 'really' face and Ruby nudged her again
                          
"Well why don't you text him?" Ruby suggested. 
                          
Annie sighed "No don't be that girl just wait at least til the end of the day and if he doesn't call then he probably doesn't actually give a shit and y'all can go back to a normal co worker relationship." She said adding some sass to the last part. 
                          
"Yeah I guess" I said finishing my food. 
                          
We all had finished and said our goodbyes after splitting the check and paying. I got back into my car and saw I had a text message. This time it was actually from Rio.
