"You don't understand... You have to come with me." We were back at the bus, but he just won't move. I don't care if people were already staring at me, if he doesn't come with me, I don't know what I'll do. "Please, Soobin!"

But I was being dragged out of the bus.

"No!"

I tried— clawing at the seats, grabbing the rails, thrashing and screaming, but I was still moving farther and farther away from him. No, not again.  I was crying already.

"Stop! Please!"

"Hey, it's okay, it's okay. I'm right here."

I open up my eyes, Soobin is literally inches away from my face. The real one, and his face screams worry. I look around and my heart calms down as the familiar setting of the boys' studio greets me. How did I get here though? Soobin rushes to grab a basin filled with what I think is cold water. "You passed out last night."

"I-I did?" I try getting up, but I instantly regret it. I shut my eyes, my head spinning from the sudden change in position. The comforter falls off of my body and my body shivers at the cold air. Soobin notices as he grabs the remote in an instant, turning down the air conditioner.

I feel so cold and my nose is stuffy—not to mention, my eyes were teary from the dream. What happened last night?

Then my memory catches up to me: how he saved me, how I basked in the cold, how I bawled at his chest—how I kissed him!

Soobin sits beside me, touching my forehead with the back of his hand. "That's weird, your temperature has gone up. And your face is heating up too! Wait here, I'll get some medicine."

"No, wait—" I grab the sleeve of his hoodie and he stops to look back at me. "A-About last night..."

An amused chuckle escapes his lips. He shakes his head. "You're not gonna take it all back again, are you?"

"I-I'm not!" I bite at my lip and he goes quiet.

"If you don't stop biting that lip, I'll bite it for you—" And he was cut off by a pillow hurling towards his way. Thrown by yours truly.

I wheeze, a coughing fit leaving my mouth, and he rushes to my side.

Ugh, this is the worst time to catch a fever. I watch as he soaks a small towel in the basin and wrings out the water. He places it on my forehead with utmost care and I can't help but admire him up close. He's fixing my hair and I hear him say, "Stop staring at me, I'll melt."

Silence envelopes the two of us and a lot of things go running through my mind. My lips form to a pout. "I'll be gone again... in two months."

"This time around, I'll know where you are." He smiles, eyes turning to crescent. He places his cold hands on mine. "It doesn't have to end there."

"Will you be okay with it?"

He chuckles, a heavenly sound. He scoots closer beside me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. I try so hard not to scream as he plants a kiss on the top of my head. "I could never stop loving you even if you're staying at the moon."

I narrow my eyes at him. "I'm serious."

"And so am I." He looks straight into my eyes. We stay that way for a couple of seconds, and since I'm up for a staring contest, I don't look away. I could feel him breathing on my cheek.

He licks the bottom part of his lips. "Do you want to kiss as bad as I do right now?"

"If we get caught, I'm blaming you." My breath hitches. I beam a small smile, but deep inside my heart is pounding, Where da heck am I getting all this courage?!

I suppress a quiet squeal as he leans towards me. How can someone be this handsome? The way he looks at me makes him even more gorgeous. I'm so freaking lucky! He gets nearer and my breath starts to get shaky, but he stops just when his nose touches the tip of mine. I close my eyes, feeling my face heating up. I feel something building up... Something I... I...

"Achoo!"

He scrunches up his nose. He's clearly not expecting that.

"I'm sorry!" I cover my mouth and wipe at his face with the sleeve of my sweater. I couldn't help but laugh. "You can't catch my fever. You have a show tomorrow."

"You don't have to worry about me," He hugs me tighter, burrowing his face into my neck. "I've got my medicine right here."

I stare at his face, looking angelic as ever. But you are my medicine, Soobin. My happy pill, a drug I could get lost in forever—but seriously, kids, don't do drugs. I may be going back to Paris, and we may have to keep our relationship in private, but he still chose me. This isn't the end, this is the start of something even more beautiful. Now, I know, endings are never really farewells. Life gives us millions of second chances, and that's why we have every day.

I brush the hair covering his eyes. "I love you."

But honestly, who would've thought? That the cool quiet kid and the awkward girl ridding the bus together would end up really together? That one single dare would lead up to this moment?

His lips form into a smile. "I love you more."

Who knew...

That 24 hours could lead to forever?

-end-
