Marian’s POV.

After Liana left me at Supiona’s I decided to give her some time to breathe some fresh air so that she can think about what she is planning on doing.

I love Liana and I would hate for her to sabotage Jurian when I know that she loves him a lot. She does not know it now but she will regret this revenge plot and I cannot sit back and watch her do what she does not want to do simply because she wants to be a good friends to me.

I know she thinks I will get some closure from hurting Fedu and his family and she is absolutely right…but I will not rest easy knowing that my own friend put her true self on the line for me.

If revenge is to be done I will do it, not her. I am really hoping that she sees this and wakes up from this daze because she is on a roll. Her thinking is sharp and for every curve she has a solution, to every dead end she starts making a new road…she is headed for destruction, self-constructed destruction.

I enter her house and I realize that everyone is sleeping so I just head to her room and when I open it I find Jeff sniffing around and I switch on the lights.

“Why are you here?” I ask as I open the door and he turns to look at me.

“I am looking for something”

“Like?” I ask and he sighs…

“Marian, Liana is up to something and I need to know what it is”

“What do you mean?”

“I followed her after she opened a portal and she was talking to a strange man in black, I could not get a clear look at him but they are planning something huge…I think that Liana also muted my brother” he says and my eyes go wide.

“What?” I ask and he nods causing me to panic. He cannot find out the truth, if he finds out then Liana will be exposed and vulnerable.

“You know what? Uka can ask the gods” he says as he heads out probably going to ask Uka what is happening and Uka will see because he has his powersback. Quick, I grab the vase on the side table and I smash his head with it but as he falls to the ground I see his face and he reminds me of his father.

Fedu took so much from me, my entire family, my childhood, my grandkids, hetook way too much and he gets to keep everything and walk freely. I cannot believe this, as I look at him rage overpowers me and I take the vase and I hit his head over and over again until all I see is blood, so much blood that it encourages me to keep on going.

I need him finished. I need him dead, I am killing Fedu today!

Liana’s POV.

“Marian?” I call out as I enter Marian’s room at the palace but she is nowhere to be found. Ugh that can only mean one thing…she is at my house.

As I walk out of her room I run into my father and he stops me in my tracks.

“There is the future queen of Fefe” he beams seemingly proud.

“Hi dad, have you seen Marian?” I ask him and he looks at me before putting his hand on my cheek and he smiles.

“I am so happy for you my sweet little girl” he says and his smile gets weak.

“Dad what is wrong?” I ask.

“Nothing…uhm there is Marian” he says removing his hand from my cheek and then he looks to the stairs and Marian stops in her tracks as soon as she spots us.

“See you later dad” I say heading to Marian and then I grab her hand and I lead us into my room and then I close the door and I turn to her and she looks like a mess.

Her hair is all tangled up in a sweaty mess, her face has mud on it and her
shoes are hectically muddy and she looks super tired like she was lifting weights or something.

“Where were you?” I ask.

“Out, why are you here at Dungu?” she brushes me off but her words are so strained she sounds like she is losing her breath.

“We need to go now”

“Go?”

“Yeah, we are going to the east”

“That is forbidden lands Liana why are we going there?” she askd as she sits down on my bed breathing heavily. Where was she?

“We are going to see Mamangu”

“Mamangu? The goddess of truth?”

“Wow good you know her, I did not…I am going to go look for the horses that we can use for the journey you go and pack the essentials that we might need” I say and she nods exhaustively but nonetheless I walk away so that I can get everything ready.

That man in the woods had me frightened but if he is sending me to the goddess of truth then that is amazing…he is leading me to the truth.
