They also could not figure out where Deku and his team went after going down the tunnel, nor could they locate the surviving members of the League. The only thing they could think of was that they somehow got away, even Dabi, and went into hiding. It was neither that or Deku got them even though they were supposed to be enemies. They figured if that was the case then Deku recruited them now that Shigaraki was gone, but they couldn't be certain.

While the investigation went on, there were some people at UA who blamed the school and heroes for having teamed up with the villain who ended up releasing AFO. Things were particularly bad for class 1-A, some people worried that Deku had spies among them. While the class itself was having many mixed emotions, as were a few others. Those who had been friendliest with him were all surprised and sad, especially Uraraka and Melissa. They didn't think that Deku would go back to being a villain, they had thought that he had left until Shigaraki was defeated and then he would come back. But instead he had released the most dangerous villain and seemingly vanished off the face of the earth.

A week after his disappearance the two aforementioned girls were currently in Uraraka's room, trying to console each other.

"Why do you think he decided to leave," Melissa asked. "He always seemed like a good person, someone who would be a great hero, so why would he go back to the villains like that."

"I don't know, it just doesn't make any sense. The entire time he was here he seemed so happy, and it seemed like he really wanted to become a hero with the rest of us."

"Who knows, maybe he's just tricking the villains, you know, working as a spy for the heroes."

"But then why would he free AFO, and why would he burn Shigaraki? He was supposed to be dead already but he still did that, it just seems too unordinary for him. The Izuku I knew wouldn't go around attacking heroes and burning corpses like that."

"Because the Izuku you knew wasn't the real him, not anymore anyways." The girls turned to see Tai standing in the doorway. "I knocked but I guess you didn't hear me. But like I was saying, that person isn't Izuku Midoriya, he's the villain Deku."

"No, I know that there is good in him," Melissa said with some annoyance.

"Maybe, but it's starting to get swallowed up. I've spoken with Tokoyami. Apparently during his time with him he hated to be referred to by his real name, only going by Deku. And while it didn't last long both he and Dark Shadow noticed Deku had a bit of insanity lurking within him. Yet while he was here he only went by his real name, and acted completely normal as if he had always been a part of this class. It may have just been a real good act, but I think it might be something else."

"What do you mean," Uraraka asked him.

"Well living the life of a villain would definitely be a stressful one, and something that can easily change you. Yet apparently even after spending more than a year with the League he was almost the exact same as before, the only real different change being more confident. Yeah, I really doubt that. He might have been doing his best to suppress it but there is definitely a dark side within him, maybe it's just finally showing itself. It doesn't help that he isn't as innocent as he was made out to be." The girls gave him confused looks, so he continued on. "From what I've heard, Izuku was a very shy and quiet person who was bullied daily, but as soon as he shows up again he beats up both Kirishima and Bakugou, putting them into the hospital. And apparently Wolfram, that guy who attacked I-Island, had help from the League, or was at least connected to them in some way. And at the training camp he was the person who beat Muscular, but he almost killed the person in the process. Look at the sudden changes. From a silent victim to putting people into the hospital, yet even though it was the person who made him suffer he still didn't kill Bakugou. Then he was apparently connected somehow to the person who attacked I-Island, the person who took the whole island hostage and tried to kill you guys. And then he himself almost killed a person. I think those are some pretty big changes, don't you."
